New to the Assassin
I have a few DPS class alts I been working on, but the assassin is my newest - by L7, I knew, this one had me hooked.
this is the first DPS class I tried, where I didnt feel like I was just trudging along thinking "ok, in a few levels this will be better".
bruiser got fun around L20. swashbuckler still hasnt really grown on me. assassin... L7.
so here I am L24, a few days in.
ran a few little instances, like wailing caves, and fallen gate, and I found a few things... not entirely sure how these observations hold true for the rest of the game however.
assassins, alittle hard to solo.
but in a group - amazing.
my group tactic so far has been, always invis.
let tank gain aggro for a few seconds, get behind target, and do a big stealth hit. auto attack for a few hits, stealth, big hit, then its dead.
all in all, this is killing things that are 3 ups, and 2-3 levels higher then us, in just a few seconds... and not taking aggro from the tank.
after the first big hit coming outta stealth, if I do a combat art right after, one after another, I tend to take aggro rather easily, which is why I been letting auto attacks do thier thing for a few swipes.
aggro management is key to a DPS class I know, so I have much to learn, but I think I am doing ok so far.
I dont pull aggro, and we kill fast.
is this a good general basic tactic for a assassin?
stealth, big hit, maybe stun after - but auto attack mainly.
as for AA's.
I been eying the STR and AGL lines mainly.
I really really liked the arrow volly skills.
so the AGL line has been looking pretty good to me.
but the STR line currently looks like my most important line to start with.
I know the INT line is important later, so I read here.
but is it important at low levels?
(thats a line, I dont fully understand yet)
my charactors a ratonga, if that matters at all.
I just happen to like ratongas alot.
this is more or less just alittle bit of observation, and a few little questions.
any advice would be appreciated however, as I am sure, this charactor will be getting alot of play time - not just sitting on the sidelines as a alt.
