well, the question is how the tank the mob placed. if the encounter repeatedly separated, too far apart or in the back of you - sta line sucks ...

We did the first raid zone last night and I did not see where the stam line was needed on the first 4 bosses.

They have no hit points and Stealth Assault is up every 30 seconds and should give you pretty big bang for something that goes down that quick. We only got 4-5 pulls in so there may be more than what mobs than what I am thinking, but I personally would not spec stam just for that fight.

I've already burned up a few free respecs and right now I'm pretty much back to RoK spec. I tried to drop RS to see if it made a big difference (ie...maybe I had it just because I always have) but it totally changes the feel free slicing through FF chains.

I may lose Getaway and put more points into Shadows (though it sucks you waste 10 aas on shit) but still keep a few points in Exacting and the DPS temp buff.

What's teh max AoE Melee percentage you can get w/ 8 Points into it in STA? That option seems intriguing though I haven't seen enough big mobs to justify the casting speed drop (as it stands I don't have a Temp though when I get shifted to OT i do)

I believe its 28%.

I'm unclear on whether your poisons etc can proc on all the mobs hit by the ae. Does anyone know the answer to that for sure? What about AE procs on the 2 (or 3) AE CAs we have? I always thought the CAs definately did not.

This has me intrigued though... Anyone raided recently with and without Poise, to give us some marker of how it effects your DPS?
I have been playing with dropping the AGI line as opposed to the INT line in order to pick up the STA line.

When I dropped the AGI line, the casting was unreal slow. And getting through an entire conceal chain was an adventure. Any misses that would force me to hit mask or spy (or some dmg ca) again to re-enter stealth would completely bork my FF damage. Whereas with Poise I had some wiggle room for small KBs and missed stabs.

That said, I didn't notice any decrease in overall dps... though there were a few trash fights I would fall pretty low because I wasn't able to get a chain off and I wasn't able to fly through my CAs like I used to with poise.

The other assassin in the guild dropped the INT line for the STA line and hasn't noticed any decrease on single mobs, while enjoying a nice enough boost to multi-mob encounters that he can still keep pace with the warlocks. I've also tried dropping the INT line.

IMO, dropping the INT line is the way to go unless you have a group with a lot of casting speed buffs.

Looks like for this expac I'm going to have a heroic instance spec (with STA line) and a raid spec (same spec from ROK) as opposed to a raid/heroic spec and a solo/tank spec like I had in ROK. This may change as I see more raid zones in TSO and see if they have as many multi mob encounters as the heroic zones seem to. If this is the case my raid and heroic specs may become one in the same.

Granted we are just now getting into raid content on this xpac but from what Ive seen there is absolutely no justification for respecing sta line. And I personally will not be basing my spec for heroic content. Looks like RoK setup for me.

Ascot + STA line + Multiple mobs = WIN! just saying :P

after testing a little bit poise isnt going to get dropped for me. its to useful. i dropped spell crits for now and ill adjust my setup as i go but right now im satisfied with my current setup

Edit:
And tbh if your guild cant handle many raid mobs at a time STA line may not be worth getting. i spec'd STA for SOH since it came out because we would pull many of the trash mobs at a time. now in these new zone im sticking with it cause so far ive seen a dps increase

You sure your DPS increase came from that, and not any of the increased debuffs or buffs in the new AA's in other classes?
