I recently just changed to the Meat Clever (TSO Sig. quest reward for Chapt. 8) because it has 2 more crit and a slightly larger dmg spread. Although if anyone knows a better one short of killing Tangrin, please let me know.

Has anyone who has both the Lifespike and the Meat Cleaver determined which offhand is better? I have the cleaver now, but just wondering if I should bother spending dkp if the Lifespike ever drops. (and at this point, Tangrin really isnt an option for me)

Re: Offhand
I personaly prefer the Lifespike, the spread is better and the proc seems to come in handy more often then you would expect
hints the reason why they added a similar proc to our 5 set
TSO set

Re: Offhand
plus a much bigger spread, and a nice proc but lifespike has a much better spread and the proc is about even plus a heal... if you have decent gear you dont need crit on your dagger, around 80 crit unbuffed you can go for some DA, even 70 if you wish

Was the difference in dps drastic or small?
If I were to get and use the Lifespike, I don't know which TSO reward to get (will have to petition since I already chose the cleaver). Maybe the cloak (though, I already have the RE2 one).

Re: Offhand
As far as I'm concerned, Lifespike is an old wives tale. I've seen it drop once since SoH release.
