Default Cut Arteries query

Apologies if this question has already been raised, I've trawled through the majority of the multitude of TSO AA posts and was unable to find an answer to my question.

I'm wondering if this achievement is broken at the moment. I've done some crude testing and after investing a single point in it I noticed no difference to my Gushing Wound ticks. A second point seemed to cause the tick damage to actually be halved after a time. My understanding, from the tool tip and reading about it on the Ranger forum, is the damage ticks should increase exponentially. I did manage to find a snippet of information in one of the older threads saying that if I do invest 5/5 it should work properly. Is anyone able to confirm or deny this?

I guess I'll do some more testing when I get home tonight if no-one has the answer, I kinda ran out of time last night.

Since you've gotten a shitload of responses on this, I'll test it a bit today, see what I can get.
(I have 5 points in it btw)

I had one point in it. The examine window for the ability didn't change at all. The damage output of it didn't seem to change either. I didn't do any parsing to test it.

Hope it works somehow, reached 190 aa's and trying to find something worthwhile to add the next 10 to ;-)

The tooltip doesn't change, ever. It's *supposed* to be an exponential increase in bleeding(IE, dot damage) but as far as I saw, it never actually worked.

Like benji says it doesnt show up in the tooltip.Go parse on a training dummy and you will see the ticks get larger per tick.

Adds around ~80% more damage to the ranger CA.

Thanks for the responses guys; I really don't think this affecting the Assassin CA like the Ranger CA.

I did a little bit more testing last night with both 3 and 4 points in it. I did notice that 3/4 points did increase subsequent ticks of the DoT although as far as I could see there was only a single increase to the DoT damage, hardly exponential by any means. Hopefully I'll do some more thorough testing tonight on a training dummy tonight and get some more concrete numbers.

i tested it earlier when building it up from 1-5.
At 1 and 2, I noticed an actual dps decrease testing on the wall. but really that could be I didnt test enough (was roughly like 10-30dps).

After putting 5 points into it, the dps went up around 60-80dps. but after it started going up finally at like 3 points i didnt care anymore and was just happy it was adding any kind of dps.

I dont think it is actually working as intented, it is not obviously doing exponential dmg, some ticks are less than the previous.

testing was done like 2nd week of expansion, dunno if they fixed it.

I'm pretty sure you tested it after pulling the points out of the ROK tree, yeah? That's the likely reason for the initial decrease. I'd log in and test it now, but I don't have ACT on my PC at the moment, and I don't feel like reinstalling today, so.

No, i didnt pull points out. I already had around 180 aa. so it was post.
There was an initial decrease that was very odd, but it could just be bad luck with rng.
after 5/5 it shows an increase in dps, however little it may be, theres not much to spend in aa once you get close to 200. so really anything helps imo.

I tested mine on dummy and the last dot tick was 4 times as much dmg as the first tick
