Like Dona says, if it's the best item for you, you're completely entitled to bid/roll for it (talking here about guild-only, not PUGs).

I'd most likely pass for the ranger and wait for the 2nd drop, simply cos the raid benefits more from him having it rather than me.
(and I'd also expect the ranger to pass for me if it was 10 MC/10 RC/10 DA/proc whatever off melee only type thing)

But again, if it's the best item for you, you're entitled to bid...

As for the Essence, in a mid-tier guild (killing Xebnok and Tythus atm), it's unlikely ALL the bards have 100% MC, and if one with 60-70% wins the Essence over you with 100+ MC, the item isn't being used to it's full potential for your raid.

Again though, circle circle circle... If it's the best item for him... Yeah.

Anyway, this shit won't drop for me and it's pissing me off.

heh.... wow. i dont care if i only had a 2crit ring, id /decline that shit to a ranger every fucking time. even if i hated the ranger.

what about a ring with uber stats, double attack, crit, haste, dps, +ca, but extended duration of wearer's dispatch to a full minute, would you take that shit over a brigand (in a PUG where you wouldnt benefit from his dispatch being longer in the future)?

I would take it in a Pug, not in a raid with my guild.
