Is a choker really all that?

Ok, so the reason im asking this, is because i dont have a bloodthirsty choker yet to actually compare.. However ive been told by others, that every assassin should have one. Do they really do that much damage?

Im currently wearing the Torque, is it worth my time to run sof runs to get the choker? Keep this in mind, 99% of my time is doing group instances.

I wear the choker in groups, and the toque when I solo or if the healer is having enough trouble healing the tank.

As far as damage increase, +10% to CA is nothing to sneeze at.

best non-raid(even better then some raid items) neck in game. good second option for the slot is the relic Ether collection reward neck/ear.

I have the choker and I would say that yes it certaily makes a difference in your parse, however be sure you are running with a good healer/tank. I have found that soloing can be a little more difficult when the choker procs and my health drops quickly...but when running instances and shard quests it has been a definite benefit.

I would like to know, however, which torque you have been using while soloing! As I said, soloing has been a little more tricky with the choker!

Doesn't really matter when you're soloing... Ganak's Torque, Thugga Amulet, some of the other fabled neck piece I never cared about since Choker > all and then some....

It's worth having if the group's healer doesn't suck or the tank is able to take a hit. However, every time I enter a pick-up group or raid I'm reminded that how bad things can be...

So, is the nerf still going in where +base spell damage will no longer affect poisons or procs? Cause if so, I might throw the choker away and try to petition to get my amulet of thuuga back.

You might want to look at the neck piece Mynzak drops. Decent upgrade to Ganak's Torque.

FUcking choker is greater than all. I see a huge increase as a swash, and my CAs are shitty damage and no spell crit for my procs. If you are an assassin and you don't use a choker, you are a complete retard.
