I just started playing again, and was looking at my aa choices. I saw in the stickied AA thread that people are putting points into Offensive Prowess to up their melee skills. I'm at work so I can't check, but I remember being pretty close to cap already. Did they increase the cap? I was thinking I would put those points into sinister strike, not +skills, so wondering why people are spec'd that way.

You can cap the sinister strike recast using max points in assassin tree, and then only ~3 in the shadows tree, and then +skills is the next best thing.

Also reasons for people not doing it might be because there isn't too many raid mobs you can use it on.

There are actually a lot of mobs you can use sinister strike on if you get off your ass and do all the LNLs

I didn't realize there was a cap on reuse. That is very good to know.

Speaking of L&L's, I was in ToMC last night, and the third name I believe is a naga which is one of the few L&L's I haven't done. Is it a naga? I don't want to waste my time getting the naga L&L done (which seemed like a real bitch) if it's not.

its a naga, my master strike works. and the reuse cap is 50%. if the original spell was a 10 min recast, the lowest you can get is 5 min through any combination of AAs or jcaps, etc.

50% cap is a 100% displayed reuse amount though.

ie, at 50% displayed reuse a 15min recast becomes 15/(1 + 0.5) = 10

at 100% displayed reuse a 15 recast becomes 15/(1 + 1) = 7.5min, which is 50% reduction.

obviousness is obvious, but Hoss's post could have been interpreted differently
