I never really thought that assassin dps was way insanely too high but i did think rangers were parsing a little low. Now they are insane. odveously no one is seeing how much they are actually doing or who they are looking at are a bunch of people who suck ass.

Rangers have so much more freedom when it comes to posistioning etc.

Assassins have to be behind the mob , at all times.

Dont get me started on Swashbucklers since this is an assassin thread but come on . A minimal decline in AA's and the increase to the ranger AA's Was the onlything needed. Not giving assassins crap made them what rangers were in KoS. Why does it have to pivit like that.... one suck ass and one be increadibly awesome. Looking at a general adverage of 20,000 Sucky rangers and the 100 rangers in high end guilds vs all 20,000 assassins and the 500 good assassins in high end raiding guilds doesnt mean that assassins do dps easier.

its hard to do but a necro who is very good at lifeburn is impossible to beat handsdown on single target

Well Ranger auto bow , and swashbucker double attack and hurricane > assassin CA damage and melee

Ok. So tell me what utility did swashies lose when they got a huge dps boost with Eof? What about necros? Huh? Would anyone be surprised if a Necro beat an assassin in a raid Parse? Nope. Very common,,,,but tell me what utility did they sacrifice for that DPS? Compared a Necro utility to an Assassin Utility equal? Nope.

Illusionist are doing sick dps now tell me what they recent just gave up Utility wise?

It seems the common theme with SoE is that increased Utility means minus DPS only when it comes to Assassins.

This argument is old and sad. If Assassins weren't being invited to raids because of a lack of utility, then I'd understand. But for fuck's sake, Assassins are still in every raid guild, and are still doing sick DPS. Quit worrying about what everyone else has. I guarantee you I'm not invited to raids because of Ember Seed. Or Pyreshield. I'm invited for DPS. I'm not in a group in a raid for all of my buffs to go to group members, I'm there for my DPS, my utility has NOTHING to do with my usefuleness on a raid. But then again, everyone has a check and balance, because otehrwise, there'd be groups of just say, brigands. So it works out well, and Assassins are still a very desirable class. So shut up.

It's just a matter of time. Especially considering all of these laggy encounters like contested mayong and such where any other melee but a swash can hardly do anything because of the delay of CA's, but swashies can laugh at them all, doing their AE auto attack on the adds.

I love it when you got your face owned in the eq2 assassin forum, you have to come here pretend you are the shit.

First of all, you need to be the top parsing assassin in your guild before coming here proclaming that how assassin are uber dps and shit. Last I check swashy are pulling insane ZP.

Assassin DPS is fine in comparison to Rangers, wizard and Warlock.
But our AA sucks ass. But if swashy is staying where they are then I guess everyone will need a buff.

And yes LB is full of shit. Necro should (not) be able to spike more than a pred or a soc. So go fuck yourself Raine, the wannabe assassin.

shut the fuck up Hearth, I may not be the top parsing assassin, but the other assassin is and he tops the parse most of the time and always is above the swashys and I am not that far behind. I have never once said I am a top parsing assassin because I cant be when he parses higher than me lol.

So an assassin is parsing #1 in my guild the majority of the time, so assassins are uber dps and shit. I dont have to be godly myself to be able to see where assassins place in the world.

Id like you to point out to me where I got my face owned because I dont see it. The only reason maybe is because most of the people posting on the EQ2 assassin boards are dumb shit noobs who should never be allowed to voice their oppinion. Pretty much none of the top assassins in the world will get into conversations there because they get told to shut up by cunts who think they know what they are talking about, but in reality are just louder. I came here because this is where the real players congregate and I wanted to get their oppinion and as you can see from the poll the majority agrees that assassins are fine. Sure theres tweaking that could be done, but thats the case with every class.

why? what would it prove? absolutely nothing. Parses in my guild vary from day to day so much because we dont have set groups. Somedays im in MT grp, some I have a good grp some I dont, same for all of the DPS except maybe the mages. I could just as easily post parses where I am #1 for the zone as parses where Im not even close, all depends on what kind of group setup we have going on that particular day. I've played with these guys a long time so I know how good each person is and dont need a parse to tell me where each of them stands and how I fit in as well. So you all can fuck off if you dont believe me, I dont really give a shit. What I've said about the ranking of classes in my guild is accurate and I dont have to prove that to you guys. Im no liar and have no reason to talk myself up to make me look better. I have complete confidence in my abilities. I garauntee if I did suck I wouldve been removed from the guild a long time ago, no place for slouches and half assed players here.
