Lvl 70ish gear

Hello all I am currently lvl 73 assassin on naf server with 98 aa's and all mc armor and weapons....the 4 sec slasher and piercer with quest stuff for jewlery and stuff.

Just wondering what I should be shooting for equipment wise or stay with mc till 80...but big thing is weapons. Does everyone use the 4 sec delay weapons? Because with the new revamp on mc weapons....legend stuff seems to suck and have a way lower damage spread then the mc weapons.....Just looking for advice on if i should stick with the 4 sec delay mc weapons or should i try to get some leg weapons that are pretty good? I don't raid so I know my options are limited. Thanks all

Stay with it, and then go for Voidgear and loot from TSO Zones+RE2, maybe get some jewelery from ROK Quests.
At 80 do your epicquest and f.e. Sebilite Croaking Dirk as secondary weapon for the beginning.

The way to 80 ist just a stone's throw, so don't waste time in buying or getting new gear right now ;)

Stick with MC stuff until you are near level 80. And stick with the 4.0 delay, especially once you get your epic (also 4.0 delay).

Quests in RoK and Moors can give you some decent jewelry and charms, but pretty much nothing with regards to armor/weapons. Go hit up instances and grab the 3 set (gloves/boots/arms) soul lancer shard armor and then the 3-set shard jewelry. Focus on stuff that gives melee crit. Get a few haste items (like belt from chokidai collar collection) until you are sitting above 50 haste while solo. And if you have a lot of plat (you probably dont) also complete the RE2 standards collection for the earring, and the reet knight armor collection for the helm.

Zones to focus on: RE2 (cloak, wrist, earring, gloves, decent BP), Everfrost instances have some nice drops and a VERY nice charm from crucible, LP instances have some good vampire/undead bane stuff

Once you get to 80 and get a little bit of gear, join a pick-up raid into Shard of Hate or PR and you might be able to get some real nice gear, especially for your offhand.

Croaking dirk isn't a complete waste for non-raiding assassins, but it's really a ranger weapon. It's got a real nice boost (10%) to your poison damage, but the damage range (29-86) from the weapon itself is really bad, plus it's a 1.4 delay weapon which is a complete waste in your off hand if your main is a 4.0 delay. You are better off doing the easy quest in JW for Anaphylaxis. While it doesn't have the leet proc like the dirk, it's got a much better spread. Could also try to get lucky in CoA with carotid cutter, but it's a rare drop.

I would never advise a 1.4 weap :P

If a 1.4 second delay is a complete waste, then wouldn't the 4.5 sec delay on anaphalaxis be a complete waste too?

Thanks all for the replies..ill hang in there hope to get 75 this weekend...finished quest in kyelong and working on fens now. Last quick question....Any cowels fairly easy to get? worken on hoola hoos cowel quest thing..need a couple more lvls i think to get it with my normal sk partner..play at odd hours can't seem to have much luck finding a group when I play latley lol

Shows you how long ago I had that weapon... also shows how out of date lootdb.com is.

And Hoss, the damage range of anaphylaxis at 4.5 delay, is better than the dmg range of croaking dirk at 1.2, imo. But ya, neither is ideal.

Well, the old Dirk had a dmg ratio of 3, the anaphylaxis is 4. So based on that, and the slightly higher dmg rating, ana was a better weapon. But if the dirk he linked above is right, it might be better. The damage ratio on that thing is 7. I can't remember how much that scorpicus venom parsed for.
