Default auto attack timer

Just curious how many people are using auto attack timers. The assassins in guild are saying to install it, yet I am parsing as high as they are. So I'm just wondering if its worth fucking with or if they are just lazy.

Triple-posting in that one thread wasn't enough? And why aren't you using the search function, I've read this question a billion times before. No, auto-attack timers are worth it only if you're also spec'd for WIS and STA and use 2.0 delay weapons.

Anyone else have the problem of the auto attack timer returning upon every login even after you uncheck the box in profit menu? I ended up just making the window transparent and click-through but I'd like to just get rid of it.

As far as the bar, I turned it off. I have enough stuff to look at without worrying about that.

The ACT beeper is a whole nother story however. In raids and grouping I love it just because of the fact then I KNOW I'm in range for my auto-attack to go off and haven't slipped into that ranger gray area where you can still use CA's but not melee auto-attack.

If you can get used to the beep another thing as well. I have grown to expect it and like hearing it going off.

That is a sound idea, though it'd probly take me a long time to get used to beep = no dps rather than my current beep = dps haha

Ya sorry about the triple post. Trying to search and post from a Blackberry isn't an easy task.

Thanks for the info though.

I have my autoattack timer on, but I only really use it for when I run out of melee CA's. Then I can step back after a beep and use a ranged CA and be back for the next beep. Just make sure to be close to min ranged range so you dont have to step back too far. Oh yeah, and dont forget to toggle melee attack on again while the ranged CA is casting.

Not sure its the best way but it seems to work for me ;)
