I guess the basic question is...What's our average casting speed without Poise?

It's looking like I need to spec for Sta, as much as I'd hate to, and really all Agi is used for is Poise. Int is very nice, considering how much damage we do with our poisons, so I -really- don't want to loose it. We cast pretty fast as is, so I'm thinking Poise won't make a -huge- difference. I think it'll make up with having the 8 in Surrounding.

I gotta fix my AAs, anyways, but the fact that I don't want to waste plat makes me weary.

At this very moment, the casting speed of, say Scarring Blow is .37 seconds, compared to Resourceful Weapon's .74. As is, there is a feeling of a HUGE difference of speed, even if it's just a .37 of a second difference. I mean, heck you can fit two CA's inside of just the one.

So new, adjusted question, then...if most of the CA's are .37, what are they without Poise? It's going to slow down Concealment Line a bit, and if there's an interrupt, then I'm -really- boned. I already see the sacrifices.

Not sure how long the aes and resrouceful weapon take without poise. But its a linear relationship. So take your current cast time (with poise) and multiply by 1.35 to see what it'll be without it.

I tried the spec you are talking about, and the slow casting made me wanna kill myself. So even if int would be more dps (which is debatable) it made the game less enjoyable for me, so it wasn't worth it.

With Resoursful being the red headed step child, and already taking long enough to cast, it was something that had to be somewhat meditated beforehand anyways when planning CAs and order and stuff...

But heck, that noticeable, eh? Well, there goes the thought. so I was thinking then, to better utilize and to more or less optimize, Str, Agi and Sta then. I'm still trying to find a good camera, positional set up, but I don't get to group with the same tank twice, so I'm usually running around, which I know is costing me-- Mine and the Tanks fault. the AoE AA should definately help and make up for what I'm loosing in TSO, or any instance with encounters or just triggerhappy SK's/Zerkers. Which, isn't so bad, as I don't mind consistant pulling.

lol, thanks for the math lesson. It's been a while and couldn't figure it out. Had a calculator but was like...How the hell do you subtract a percentage from a number that's already been decreased by it?

STR,AGI,STA = group heroic

STR,AGI,INT = raid


there isin't enough AE DPS to be had with STA spec to justify using it in raid. in heroic content with mobs that die fast sure the AE hits some times add up to ok numbers( tbh all i do is auto atack in groups anyhow) but in raid with mobs that have substantial HP assassins are better off milking one mob for their parse rather then trying to touch each mob more.

Don't go without agi, if it's for instances you're just go for str, agi and int. Poisons do quite alot of damage still without the spellcrit. I tried going without agi and like Hoss said. It so slow and you'll lose more dps as completing a concealment chain is just horrid.
