the only real problem I see is that it cuts off an avenue of gear progression. I mean right now, spell crit and int are worth working on once you have the main stuff capped.
Edit: Oh and someone is really butthurt over the whole soul lancer thing. Kind of a bitch move here trying to cover that fuckup.

On the other hand, if they don't change the resistability and assuming this is now going to work like a normal CA (if it doesn't land wait full reuse time to cast again) considering just how much Mark is resisted in its current state it doesn't make it look *that* good~.
As for the changes and how will they affect us it depends on just how much the damage on poisons will be increased. The spell crit and base spell modifiers were some of the things that gave predators an edge over rogues (factoring the utility the latter bring as well). If the increase on base poison damage isn't significant (and it better be considering a trigger of caustic hits for 1.4k and crits for 3k) we will just end up being *slightly* better than rogues dps wise which in turn doesn't mean much when you take into account their utility~.

It probably isn't changing the way the ability is casted, but rather the damage output from it. Meaning instead of relying on Spell Crit, it'll rely on Melee Crit, and so on.
Uhh, 1.4*1.3=1.82. You can't get a 3k crit off a poison that only does 1.4k. If you're doing 3k with a crit, then your non-crits are 2.3k, not 1.4k. Since you are losing 50% spell crit, you are probably going to gain 15% Damage to Poisons. And you are also losing the ability to crit them at all, which lowers rogue dps with offering them no gain.

Yeah, I expect it will be around a 15% increase to compensate from the 50% crit loss given the 1.3x multiplier
But what sucks is we get critical multiplier on poisons in the shadows tree, and this doesnt look like its going to be changed

1.8k actually, I guess debuffs were on fire and base damage gave me one good last night together with my procs~. =/

No. Procs will remain whatever they currently are (ie: mental, cold, etc). Mark and the Swashbuckler thing get changed because they should've always been melee based anyways~.

I've raided with Assassins who had full Ravager and others who had a mix of Soul Lancer and Ravager.
From what I could see there wasn't all that of difference in parses so I'm not that sure it will effect us anyway.
I guess we'll see but thats from my experience
