I think, in terms of raiding.

STA spec will be better for Tombs and YIS

Int spec will probably be better for Palace and Zarrakon

Heroic stuff probably STA.

But as i already said, the int line is only going to give you 150-200 DPS max, so its not gonna take many AE auto attacks to hit that 150-200 DPS mark, considering procs and shit proc off AE auto attacks.

The HP is nice aswell, alot more HP means you don't haev to joust alot of stuff so that'll probabyl end up getting you more than 150-200 DPS aswell I guess.

what 50% base dmg cap?




pretty good is a relative term and what i said is 100% acurate AE is not the assassins strong suit. some fights you might benefit from but for the most part INt line will still ZW higher. you have to take into account that most of the mobs you're auto attacking are not debuffed and the range of assassin auto attack is not even close to casting classes.

Yeah now is definitely the time to experiment, especially since we got a free respec with the LU. I wish they would have reset the timers on buying respecs as well. Gonna bring that up at the next Dev Q&A.

Word. I have over 11k hp self buffed now, which isn't bad considering how mediocre my gear is. I can go even higher with my "tank" gear. Stop laughing.

Yeah it's definitely a double-edged sword and it can backfire if not properly implemented.

BTW does anyone know if any TSO mobs are immune to smokebomb? I can just see it being nerfed like that if a raid force had like 3 or 4 assassins casting it. It would also be confusing if it's a mob that everyone targets directly, because they may think they have agro if they aren't paying attention.

Wait till you fill all of your boxes up with crap and you have like half a box left for loot. Then see how important that never used tank gear is. i have a hard time making myself keep some resist gear handy.

If you're going to disagree with me at least try not to misrepresent what I said. I never said sit there for 5 seconds or whatever in stealth. I said TIME the AE if you have a reliable counter. If it's called in 5 seconds you count down to 5 seconds and hit it, it's an instant cast so that makes it easier. If you do it right you lose 1 or 2 seconds at most, and with luck you won't even lose an autoattack in the process.

I didn't say I betrayed the assassin to brigand. I said I betrayed to brigand. It was an attempt at inanity that was lost on you because you're grasping for any way to get a foothold in this argument.

In this thread you said that hemo users will suffer because hemo has a lower base. Please go read about how base increases work. You're looking at the per tic damage and assuming that is the base value for the increase. The damage increase is calculated across the total damage so hemo actually gets a larger total increase than caustic. The issue is that you can reapply hemo before it has a chance to tic over the damage of caustic so in some scenarios you are just better off using caustic.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.



I also saw that you don't use Massacre in your concealment chains. Fail.

No I said they may suffer if the INT line was just straight dmg instead of base dmg (and to clarify I'm stressing "may", it will depend on their other specs and if they have any spell dmg gear/adornments).

Once again, reading comprehension isn't your strong point. I said I don't ALWAYS use it, especially not if there's a multi mob encounter coming up. Better to use it on that methinks than on the chain on a single target mob.
