Vanguard's dev's made the epics an aug so you can use them indefinitely. Even changes the appearence of the weapon to the epic when aug'd. Though there are some ugly as fuck epics in eq2 so I wouldn't necessarily want that. Assassin's is okay. A bit small but that looks good I think.

So you continue to get AA for repeatable faction quests? I thought you only got aa for the first time though? Oh I suppose at 80 all xp goes to AA's, just didn't think of it as a way to earn aa's.

Yea, if you were on a pve server and couldn't bother to raid to get your mythical within 8 months then you would be a failure. Fortunate for me there is more for me to do at 80 than stand in qeynos harbor afk with weapons drawn.

It does seem like one of the hardest I've read up on. At least it requires the most time. Which is the only reason I ask in the first place. My assassin WILL become my main. He technically is right now but yes I power leveled and said fuck AA's. My last toon I spent a month leveling him up getting every named and quest I could reasonably think of. Did lots of grey content to finish quests I missed. Locked my level a lot too just to keep mobs green. I had 115ish by 70. I was not going to do that again with the assassin.

No instead I just power leveled him up. He's only 74 atm but I started him less than 5 days ago. I've got him about 100 aa's now. AA's are easy to get at 70+.

Lastly, "learn to play the class", I've already done that. Firstly this is my second assassin, though the first was from KoS era on a pve server. And secondly its not hard to learn to press buttons and time shit out.

Okay I'll get it. Thats why I asked int he first place. I wasn't sure if it was really worth all the effort involved but you all seem to speak with the same voice in favor of the hassle. Plus what the hell else am I going to do for 8 months. Pvp isn't that exciting. In fact pvp normally blows anyway cause you cant find a 1vs1 fight to save your life.

Anyway, thanks for all the input.

I don't remember having to do much repeatable faction. I think if you run the faction questline once you get enough.

theres a repeatable 5k one in kj that sends you to seb thats a shortcut to that line

So maybe it's not as bad as I'm thinking it is and I should just own up, stop being such a pussy, and just get it done?

I'm still only 74 though; I can level up off the faction stuff which will make it feel like I'm getting more done than just some lousy faction.
