Pfft...
I don't even get a dirge cause all the shitty rogues cry about it. And I can still put out more DPS so I guess I should start slacking to get me a Dirge. Usually I sneak into the caster group with Illz, warlock, fury, Wizzy, Necro, Assassin.
And with DS mid 2k is easy.

Re: raid setups.
This has been bugging me for days now so figured I may as well ask it:
Which group would the Assassin/Ranger prefer (i.e. parse higher in) out of these 2?
Illusionist/Troubadour/Fury/Wizard/Conj or...
Illusionist/Dirge/Inquis/Swashy/Brigand.
Aiming to max both the Ranger and Assassin's DPS rather than just one, and assuming IA goes on them rather than the rogues

Ranger is useless in the first group, so they'd have to go in the second group, thus to maximize raid dps Ranger in the second group, Assassin in the first group.

Re: raid setups.
Zerkers can be a bit overrated, if its a real dps grp you'll prob have several other scouts in your grp, dirge illy and inquis + scouts makes good dps, 3 scouts parsing 2k+ is prob better than just one uber scout in a super grp
I also find parsing pretty easy in a grp with a conjy, warlock, wizard, trouby and fury + myself, youd think it isnt that great, but you get venomous runes or w/e from the warlock, Ember seed from the conjy, Phoenix blade from the wizard, Numerous buffs from the trouby hard to tell which ones because they are buff bots heh. And fury gives me agitate.
Also a wizard gives me fist of the tyrant, fury gives me int with their grp stat buff, and troubs give probably the hate gain decrease and maybe a str/sta buff, haste buff along with other spell procs, /shrug its really hard to tell with the different troubadors. but when i do go into that grp i usually get mana regen, the 40% hate decrease, the haste buff, the str buff and the 45% spell proc
But unless you are short a caster, as a scout you most likely wont get into that grp

Re: raid setups.
my guild raids with....
Fury Troub Illusionist Wizard Conjuror Assassin
Fury Dirge Illusionist Necromancer Ranger Assassin
Berserker Inquisitor Mystic Swashbuckler Brigand Dirge
I parse (troub group) 2700-3300, with spikes on melee friendly mobs and dips on mobs that I need to joust.
The other assassin parses 2200-2700, the difference is mostly gear as we're both fully mastered as are our buffs, though my illusionist has the 5 bonus and his doesn't. I have the dirk of horror and bisected saber and the other assassin uses the Waning Moon Cutter and the sword from Sariah.
EDIT:
If you can get a dirge in your group with the 3 set bonus, the parse is going to change dramatically. The amount of time you'd spend with CoB up would be unbelievable.
Also, I've been told that poison procs cap out, but I've yet to see any proof... if they don't.... I think this group would be the best (especially with the poison proc% earring from the avatars and the 7 bonus):
Templar Dirge Mystic Assassin Warlock Illusionist
I believe, if they don't cap, you'd be able to get your poison procs up to nearly 10PPM, maybe higher, and with 100% haste and a dirge using COB with the 3 bonus, you'd probably parse well into the 4k range... Probably would need a coercer to empathic link you though.

Re: raid setups.
I guess my ideal group is:
zerker - str, zerk proc, hate target
dirge - nuff said! cacophony, dktm, luck, str, proc, +melee
templar - fast cast & blessings, hp so when I pull aggro I wont die
illusinoist - double attack, haste, regen, int
coercer - +dps, regen
Swap
mystic - more proc help, hp so when I pull aggro I wont die
with coercer and this group is a reasonable OT group.
