The name of the effect has nothing to do with whether it gets resisted or not. Death Mark is the name of the spell, agonizing pain is the name of the effect.

But the name that shows up in ACT does have to do with it being resisted. ACT doesn't parse when deathmark lands because it does no damage, but it does parse when DM gets resisted because it parses everything thats resisted (I think even including debuffs).

With normal attacks and combat arts, they show up on the same line because the messages use the same name.
