Re: Assassin Farming?
The assassin isn't really a farming class. For starters, i would deem the stifle near useless as most the mobs damage comes from auto attack. That being said, as you don't really have a daze or the ability to chain stun/daze, combined with how much positioning you need to get of alot of damage, you're pretty much a sitting duck and shit outta luck i'm afraid.

Re: Assassin Farming?
You can farm those zones if you have an AA spec that is mostly defensive. In addition, you need decent defense gear, multiple lifetaps, and probably need to have your AA endlines.
Essentially, you need to get your avoidance up above 65%. This way on mobs below level 78, your avoidance and mitigation will allow your lifetaps to keep you alive through the fight. The key is to minimize the amount of health you lose to the mobs.

Re: Assassin Farming?
Here is an easy way to make plat. Find a tank, a healer or two, bard and chanter, then 1 group PR twice a week. About 4p each chest, 6 names, thats around 24plat a run.

Re: Assassin Farming?
I solo KC pretty easily, just have problems with some nameds. I am at 200 AA which helps alot to get the endline in TsO and also put lots into health stuff also stuff that help with mitigation. Just know when to use our 2 stuns and use vitality breach poisons. I got 4 pieces of t4 and 3 pieces of t3. The proc on the BP is nice for healing. All in all it's not super easy 'til you've learned exactly what to do and when but it's possible.

6 piece pvp armor
Admiral's Chain, Hand of Enduring Assassin (rest of jewelry is Melee crit legendary)
10kish health - can get to 11.5k with the aa spec I tried
I parse around 12k on dummy and 9k on temp pulls in raid.
Main question is has anyone developed an aa setup or gear combo that makes the sin competetive with brig/swash.
I do understand that some of my jewelry needs work and I need a shield like the one from pof with about 1k protection instead of the one I am currently using.
I love playing assassin, but I want to be able to farm as well, so if this doesnt work, I may have to betray ranger or put this toon on hold to grind a farming class.
Thanks for any help

Lycanthrope Bracelet is from a heroic instance, not sure which one but I'm sure someone will say. This has a clickable effect on which lasts about 15 seconds and procs a heal and damage on every CA, that would help you with soloing.
There are 2 items from raiding (which I'm not sure if you plan to do).
One called Lifespike, its an offhand weapon from the sisters in shard of hate, it procs a debuff on the mob and damage. The debuff on the mob has a 10% chance to heal you everytime you hit the mob.
The other is called Bracelet of the Blood Symphony, from a significantley harder target, Zarakon, but this basically has the same effect on as lifespike, except I beleive they 2 stack.
There is another item also from raiding, from a high end raid mob called Gozak, a hat called coif of tolled bells, which has the same clickable effect as the wrist item except it lasts 1 minute.
Listed some of the raid items even though I suspect you don't raid on your assassin right now, just incase you planned too, because if you did these items might sway your mind and stop you going ranger ;)

Re: Assassin Farming?
Assassins aren't really beasty soloers. Best way to grind PP is to run PR with 2 heals, bard, chanter, good tank and you. Also you should do lots of shard runs as master drop rates are quite high and get into a raiding guild where you are going to gain PP rather than waste it (ie a guild where people have sense, you can tell by the time difference between kills in general).
You can, however, go to JW and kill fishmen. The trash off them sells for a not too bad amount and you will get about 5pp from an hour of killing them non stop... But nothing beats PR runs.
Another thing you can do is farm the library in WoE. You can just go straight down to the library from the start and kill book after book. After killing all but 1 of the third wave, run out of the room and it will reset.
Or do PoF frequently and you will no doubt be asked to kill the books. Tell a healer you will split the loot with them if you wipe them after the books are done :P.

Re: Assassin Farming?
I'm sure I'm missing something, but how do our shadow tree endlines help in soloing? One is a multiplier to all stealth attacks. Its possible to get some stealth attacks off, but I don't see that as being overpowered. The other is a heal, which I find almost impossible to use while soloing. You can't sneak up on a mob and open with this ability, because for some reason you come out of stealth at the start of the cast instead of the end, and if I get the mob stunned and get behind him, I'm more likely trying for backstabs.
Not that those 2 things are worthless for soloing, Its just that I don't understand why 2 or 3 people have listed them as something that 'definitely helps' and no one has mentioned getting your damn mythical yet. (granted the OP has his myth, so that's not his issue)
