Default help a nub!

im just curious on how you guys deal with consistent dps and very large encounters. today i was playing my lvl 68 assassin alt in a good guild group roaming through kaladim. we were pulling 10-15 mobs at a clip and burning em down ...but the problem was me keeping the right positioning to even do any dps.

i play on balanced and spells are a flying along with lots of mobs wacking away in a tight ball. my target arrow kinda gets lost with that many mobs to me. so im spending at least the begining of the fight running back and forth trying to get in the right spot.

also i have a problem with the MA switching of mobs when im targeting through him. one mob goes down and im back to running back and forth trying to get behind a mob. remember im talking about 10+ mobs here not a 4 mob group or less.

any help or pointers you guys could give me id appreciate it

It's mostly practice until it becomes second nature. And use a /assist macro instead of targeting the MA so the target doesn't switch from under you.

Simple, don't use a MA. Sounds iffy but once you get comfortable you will know what order you should kill things in but the main idea is dotting multiple mobs, exacting+cloaked assault is also your friend. If you get mixed up just hit your assist macro and keep going, trick is to get a steady rhythm of dotting multiple mobs and useing your static hits and bow on the mob you're supposed to be killing. I found it easiest to just have my tab targetting and /assist bound to my mouse to if you get quick with it, you can still put out extremely respectable dps on big encounters.
