Long as you get a dirge I think any assassin should do okay at least. If you don't have a dirge then troub/illu/fury is good. After that things get pretty ugly.

Doing 2k without good buffs is pretty good, I say.

Fairly new to these boards and havent got time to read the whole thread.

What would you guys say is decent zone wide dps (for say Labs) for an assassin that is lvl 70 100 AA's and pretty much mastered out and in mainly relic armour? and weapon wise using the dw claymore and absolution.

Group make up can vary for me, im usually in the MT group and most of the time we have a dirge in group. Just wanted to know how my dps is compared to others.

Hard to say. A good assassin with good weapons can break 2k in most zones no problem with a dirge. the claymore dw and absolution aren't good, though. There's just too many variables.

do assassins pretty much spam CA's since they have so many or do you have to kinda pause after a CA for auto attack, been a ranger a long time dont have the feel for assassin yet

I spam them and feel it works fine. Other people time them. With repeated spamming, er, stabbing, casting them quickly is good. Especially when COB is up.

I don't know if it's decent or not, but you basically just described my toon and I did just shy of 1.9k dps zonewide in labs last weekend. I never did the claymore quests though - I'm using wurmslayer and dragon tooth dirk. Raid dps was about 14k zw IIRC.

My gear is normally a little different - switched out a few pieces to buff magic resist for vyemm - but here's my toon:

Did a Lyceum run last night and got 1.4k zonewide but wasnt in the MT group and had pretty much no dps buffs (had 2 tanks, ranger and an inq in my group).

I think the problem I have is lack of proc damage gear. The only procs I have are Zek cloak and a life tap on claymore (got a power tap on absolution and switch them as required).

Been after a GDoH for ages but never seem to drop when im in the raid.

So to get my dps up your main recommendation would be weapons? Ive nearly finished SoD - just got a few of the nameds/ph in CMM to kill. Then need to try and get a raid to upgarde ti to the fabled.

The SoD reward is maybe the top weapon you can have (fabled), so of course that would be a major boost.

Other weapons which would be better (not from contested) are the Bisected Saber from EH, GDoH from LOA, Rapier of Darkness from MMIS and Dirk of Negativity from HOS. In that order.

The last two aren't that hard to get - fairly common drops compared to the rest.

As far as proc gear goes, there's not a lot in the game for us. You can get the Planar Orb of the Wanderer earring and the Clawed Baselisk Boots.

There's a whole thread on equipment for every slot in this forum so check that out.

Just curious on the group setup there, Dirge, Illusionist, Fury, Assassin, ? and ?.
