I was comparing my parse to another assassin the other night, and this guy generally kicks my ass, even though he is notorious for falling asleep during raids. A couple of things I noticed was that his cloaked assault and intoxication hit about twice as often as mine. I guess he must cast both every time they are up as soon as they are up. I always used to just precast intox and start the fight with cloaked and generally never hit them again in that fight. I've been trying to cast them as soon as they come up that the past couple nights, but do the rest of you do that?

The other assassin recently macro'd intox to send me a tell so we can coordinate better. According to him, the debuff portion of intox does not stack. So, I can verify that he pretty much is casting intox always even in the middle of fights.

Cloaked assault is worth using when it's up. Usually good to hit in the concealment chain. I'll sometimes use surveil or masked attack to stealth for it since it's recast is fast.

I don't usually use intox in the middle of a fight unless the mob is gonna be up a long time and nothing else is up, which does happen fairly regularly. If you're gonna get 20+s of DOT time from it, then it's not a bad option. If the debuff is useful for a fight then it might be worth recasting it just for that reason.

I have a tough time imagining it being worth coordinating intox. I mean, it's a debuff, but not an important one like dispatch or the incoming damage type debuffers to keep your tank up. Skill debuffs have some effect but not a lot in PVE fights. In pvp it might be a different situation. He is correct that the debuff portion will not stack AFAIK.

I always use slaughtersault on multiple mobs

Of course, I was speaking in respects to single encounters where I use Cloaked but not Slaughtersaut.

I use slaughtersault on single mobs, too, at the end of concealment or if nothing else is up.

I cast intoxication again if there's 30+ seconds left and I've just completed a concealment chain and started my 1 ranged attack. With a 9s delay bow you'll be missing very little auto-attack to re-cast the DOT.

For anyone else with the star darkened longbow, sometimes there's also that time where you see the proc for the bow on your buffs. In other words, you know it will bow-crit on your next shot. This is also a good time to cast it, even if all of the dot won't hit.

Well, I know this has been buried for awhile but I am interested in seeing how you are all dpsing now that ROK has been out for a few months. Does anyone bother to time C's to allow for auto attacks anymore? Are most of you using Hemotoxin with the hemo AA line? I am always looking to improve my own dps so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
