Well, +CA, +spell and +heal all cap at 50% of the base amount. +Base CA/Spell/heal caps out at 50% too as far as I know. So, its just a guess that the crit bonus might follow the same rule.

On the other hand, if that's the way they did it, it would make some of the AA in the shadow tree worthless.

melee crit bonus is probly 100% cap like base dmg is

i agree... they can't give dirges a +10%, and then add some to the shadows tree (some get 15% from tree alone iirc) and then +10% to 6 set but then cap it at 15%, that would render up to 40% useless or something. Does it not show when you examine a CA?

I would test it but I can't until friday :/

Cool, good to know on the base damage.

As for the crit bonuses, they do not show on tooltips, because it requires a crit hit. So if it caps at '100%', I'm betting its 100% of the original crit multiplier (30%) which would mean the most a crit could do would be hit X 1.6 and any crit bonus over 30% is wasted. Does that sound right? Or do yall think we could stack up gear and buffs enough to get a 100% crit bonus and our hits would be multiplied by 2.3?

at least it does when i examine mine, tried this on the other day with dad's SK and he didn't have any critical multiplier on any :/

I never noticed. Can you post a SS? Does your dad's SK have anything modifying his crits? Maybe it only shows up when needed.

Screenshots made for someone's question, coz i cba making new ones... ignore the green arrows as it's to do with whether this CA/Spell/we gets effected by Twelve tone...



As you can tell, the critical multiplier is 1.45... That's due to a bard buff called Dexterous Sonata... and I think AA's elsewhere too. Base is 1.3.

so the cap definately isn't 10%

Damn, i forgot to look at my CAs to see that line. But who said it capped at 10%? Maybe i just forgot. I guessed it would cap at either 50% (1.45) or 100% (1.6).
