Re: Assassin AA Tree's
mhh i took enhance:death mark, thinking more chances to proc was good . Does enhancing all the dots worth really ?
enhanced disfigure strike to better defense debuff (if that does matter in raid.... )
and took attribute poisons instead of bliss . May be i'll need bliss with way better dps than atm, but was thinking also to better debuff.
and took bet on max enhance :deadly focus than maxing exacting (8 sec less on a 5 min timer ? bleh)
will try those specs to see if i improve sightly my dps

Re: Assassin AA Tree's
Yeah - I'm curious about that AA's into Mark myself - I've heard it's points poorly spent since it's going to proc in a raid environment. I don't usually have a Dirge or anything to increase my proc percentage so I wonder if I would benefit more than some folks.
I'm wondering if RS is any value without being spec'd down AGI (have to spec WIS due to raid requirement)...I have it right now...just wondering if it's a big waste of AA.

Enhance death mark will not give any raid benefit what-so-ever. It has a base of 5% chance to proc on any melee attack and will proc the agonizing pain almost instantly on a raid mob without putting points here.
Only put aa here if your priority is grouping and want it to proc faster or for pvp play.

Raid mobs are so debuffed that points in either of these will not really make a difference.

I have no idea what your raid group is like, but you should be far up the diminishing returns curve for dps mod in a raid, thus making your points here worthless.
With a dirge and inquis buffs I'm over 160 dps mod before I even cast deadly focus.
Honestly, Exacting >>>> Deadly Focus.
will try those specs to see if i improve sightly my dps

Truth.

Nope.

RS owns. If you aren't spec'd AGI you want it even more.

Re: Assassin AA Tree's
i m not always with a bard in group ,and atm, i m not near the cap of skills even with swindlers luck ,so i was liking having more dps mod.
And the enhance is increasing also the duration .
But aye as soon i will have a persistent dirge , i will change to exacting.
yup , they re heavily debuffed, but i wasnt seeing rly something better for disfigure.
For deathmark , not having a high int, not having a great int buffer each time, i was liking to having it more procing.
once again, i wasnt considering upgrading dots as important as the upgrade is minor in dmgs on them.
Tho, like i said,i m gonna change that like all great assys does, to see if my dps increase significantly.

Re: Assassin AA Tree's
Through a wicked process of trial and error I think I have devised the ultimate PvE/PvP spec...
For Predator tree ~ Obviously strength ~ and I'm choosing agility over sta for the main reason bow kiting in PvP kicks major ass, plus of course the PvE benefits of poise. I suppose sta might be good too, but I don't really think the benefits you get from having agility compensate for the HP and semi-good end sta line. Obviously intelligence to 8 spell crit to finish it off. I debated getting intoxication for PvP, but I really prefer poise. To each their own though.
RS and Frontload are both very obvious choices. Frontload is WICKED in PvP might I remind you. Get a few pieces of stun gear from various different zones...maybe a few pieces of heal gear...good game mother fuckers. I have 5 in sprint because it's hands down the best way to catch people, I used to have Getaway but I changed to excessive Bleeding for the following reason. When you dot people up they drop son...and I'm saying they drop. Toss a few dots on a healer and they are dead next hit, no joke~ Uhh...5 in mark because it owns...etc etc

Re: Assassin AA Tree's
one thing that i did different in the assassin tree that i have not seen is i went with the AoE avoid. It works a charm on those raid mobs with huge AoEs on timers especially in places like protectors realm in RoK. I got tired of getting blasted out of the fight by AoEs so i started setting up timers and pulled the points i had in bleeding out and specced for the AoE avoid. Figured a losing few extra hit points of damage from a dot and trading them for better survival rate during raids was very effective.
I tend to do much better DPS when im not dead!
and if nothing else its great to drop into AoE avoid at the right time and stay standing there unharmed when the rest of the raid get blasted! hehe hilarious to watch :p

Re: Assassin AA Tree's
Never liked getaway. It's a waste of dps. Not talking about anything lost from switching to getaway, but rather: If you use getaway, you're only aoe safe if you're invis. If you're not lazy, and you joust out, you've still got three ranged CA's and bow auto attacks to maintain some level of dps. Can't comment on VP and leviathan mobs, but theres nothing in T1,T2 that makes getaway useful imo.
Getaway + PvE raids = not worth it.

Or, instead of wasting your AA's, you could fucking back away when your timers go off!
Novel idea, this jousting concept, I know.

Re: Assassin AA Tree's
Or even better, just get some halfway decent gear then you don't even HAVE to joust anything in T1 or T2 cept the final guy in PR (maybe the fear guy there too if your healers suck at curing it from you). Even with just a druid in the grp (no real hp buff) I haven't had to joust any of those AE's in a long ass time, and thats before I got much raid gear either.
