STR-INT build in Lyceum:

STR-STA build in Lyceum:

Raid setups...

STR STA all I was in the MT group with a warden, mystic, templar, guard and dirge.

STR INT I was in the MT group with Mystic, Templar, Zerker, Coercer and Dirge.

Quite a big difference, but then again the buffs are very different.

Interesting...rethinking my STR/INT build. Granted LoA isn't the best place to test because of all the multimob encounters and what not.

That flat out is just not a big enough sample

You did more damage on your str/sta line with

Decap
Killing blade
Cloak assault
Mark
Puncture blade
Scarping blow
Evacuate
Jugular

Pretty much every major CA that we use, that is not effected by either the STA or INT line you did more damage by far in most cases when you did the STA line.

Mark, even know it takes int to crit it, you did more damage with mark using STA.

Scraping blow you did like twice the damage with it using the STA line and the STA line does not effect scraping blow.

This comparison is flawed to the max.

either you were slacking big time the night you did int, or you were really on your game with you use sta, but in now way does this show sta is greater then int

His test is flawed in 2-ways:

1) his group setup
2) obviously his raid setup because in his 2nd comparison it took 55 minutes to clear the zone compared to 36 minutes the first time

If you're going to try to compare the 2, you need to do the same zone, with a near identical raid, and an identical group. Otherwise you end up with so many fluctuations and variables that the cases are just too different to be of any use in comparisons.

I never said it wasn't flawed :P

It wasn't even a test, just numbers being thrown out there, people asked for parses and I showed mine. My guild is large and very casual, so the raid force is never the same on two different days.

I also went to labs with my STA build... my dps was marginally higher than normal, but I attribute that, again, to buffs.

I'm currently thinking of giving up on STR-STA and going STR-WIS for a spell, then I'll just go home to my familiar STR-INT build and live happily ever after.

You should obviously try Wis and Agil then...
