Default Re: What about STR/WIS?

About the 4 sec "stun".... I grabbed it on pvp test and a GM spawned an epic on SS docks. I ran up to him and smoke bombed... less than a second later he melee attacks me and I'm dead. Wasn't kos so it wasn't engaging till i used smoke bomb. Does someone else have experience with it actually working?

Even if it does work, with a fully debuffed name how many hits will you actually avoid, 2? We really don't need more deaggro quite honestly. There's certain situations where wis would help more than int, but generally i dont see the point. You don't need more defense, wis, or deaggro. The justification for using the 2nd ability in group situations isn't valid since you can just use bladed opening. Wis is definately better for soloing, but the only thing i see worth the change is the 8% to next attack... which would have to match up to 52% spell crits, intoxication, poison combo, and 28+ int. I'm not risking the 10g on respeccing back to int till i see some proof of the usefulness. /shrug

I test Str/Wis at Viswin in MMIS. I use my respect so i had a good statistic.

first fight with str/int was 1900+dps

same groupe with Str/wis was 1700dps

so the result for me: Wis dropes dps

Wis is a line for getting big melee hits for the top hit board...and thats about it.

Have to be rather lucky with that too.. so obviously worthless (Unless you get agro like Bladedancer, hes specced Wis+agil iirc...)

not really, it don't effect crits.

8 percent on the follow CA is not that much of a dif. a 10k hit, for example, turns into a 10.8k.....not much

I figure wis would be a good line for anyone having to hold back to keep from taking aggro. If you're constantly skating on the edge, switch to this line and cut loose. In that circumstance, I can believe wis giving someone more dps. In all the discussions I've seen about it, I havent seen anyone mention if aggro was a problem for them before, or if they were holding back at all when they used str/int.

I have a feeling that the aggro nerfs will go back into effect for LU37 and we'll all be switching to wis.
