Crit Hits

Ok I've heard people talking about how they are getting Crit melee hits for 3500+ (some saying as high as 5k) with GDoH and Bisected. I have had both now for about a month and the highest I've seen with either is about 2900. What am I doing wrong or what am I missing? DPS mod is always capped when in raid and str is around 850 with slash/pierce at 450+. Any advice?

Even when I have 1,000 STR (selfishly buffed) and 200% (125%) DPS mod, my GDoH and Bisected don't hit higher than 3,000, even with dispatch up.

I haven't seen it higher than the high 2000s. Maybe they're hitting debuffed gray mobs with them?

I fairly regularly regularly see high crits from my GDoH in the 2400-2550 range with ~780-850 strength and 175ish dps mod

Max damage with GDoH would be around 3.5k - 4k, with max crit bonus, dps 100+ and a fully debuffed mob..
