What is 1 or 2 % to your melee crit hit chance worth? I just got my third piece of kithicors set tonight, giving me another +2% (bringing me up to 7% melee crit chance). But, the hood doesnt have any str on it, so I'm giving up 15 str to wear it. In groups my STR is about 500, and the last couple raids I was in, it was about 700. So the thing I'm wondering is, is the crit chance worth giving up str? The hood also had a pretty good hate reducing proc that I am leary of giving up. Right now my thought is to wear kithicors hood until I get another piece of the set, then switch back.

The 2% crits are definately better than the 15 str you will lose. The idea of wearing it until you get a better piece is good and makes a lot of sense

I'd say 2% crit is better than 15 str. But it depends somewhat on your weapons. And your STR in raids.

Thats right, because the weapons with the higher damage spreads benefit from crits more, right? Forgot about that. Well, I'm using bloodspiller and adamantium dragonfang.

And, like i said, my str in raids is usually around 700, so I know I need to get more. Not going to stop scrounging for str till I hit 850.

Oh and I had an error in the original post, thats 7% just from items. i forgot about the bonus from AA. That is maxed out.

15 str is pretty easy to replace, ultimately, but 2% crit isn't. I'd say at 700 str your 2% crit would be better no matter what you have. Be sure to use STR potions if you are that low. The 'exceptional elixir of fortitude' adds 51 and is cheap.

15str is almost one str adornment o_0 go buy a str adorn for a bracelet.

Well sure, i could buy that adornment, but i should do that anyway. There will still be another 15 str left off because of the helmet. Since I'm not getting to 850, its not really a matter of replacing the str. I need as much as i can get.

When i raid i already use the strength elixir. I'm in bad need of equipment upgrades.

Unless you are at 400 str the 2% crits will help you a lot more.
