More ideas for what our weapon should look like.

How about a ninjato? I mean, don't most of us pretend were ninjas anyway? Just don't make it a wakizasi. I've also always liked the kukhri knives the gurkha soldiers carried. One like that should come with some kind of Focus:decapitate though, because those knives were made lopping things off. Maybe it could have a change to proc some permanent debuffs? Like we lop off one of his legs, and the movement speed and agi is cut in half, or we lop off an arm and his str is cut in half. That would have to be a rare proc though. Once every few minutes.

A tiger hook. But a monk would look good with one of those too. Nunchaku would be pretty sweet too.

Epic weapons should be unique, but I also like the idea of having them somewhat related to eq1 weapons if there is a decent correlation. In this situation I believe Assassins are the closest to rogues from eqlive. With that in mind the best thing about rogue epic in eqlive was the simply amazing backstabs you could do with it.

That being the case I think it would be really nifty if the epic had a proc effect, somewhat more rare like 1.2 times per minute that gives a short duration buff, say 5 or 6 seconds, that adds 30% damage to the next stealth based CA (our backstabs). Of course it should have stats and bonuses comparable to other fabled items of it's level in addition to this effect.

I think it would be a unique effect that would make just about all of us want to get it. Just my idea for the creative blender.

Having the robe of battle I know that 5sec is not much time to do anything in. By the time you realize it has procced and gotten yourself into stealth chances are it will have worn off and the chances of having a decent stealth attack up when it procs is pretty slim too. With the robe its rare I have a good attack up when it procs, mostly just makes my autoattacks crit.

OMG I really don't know how more often we're gonna have to read from Raina "having the robe of battle" "my precious little robe" and so on /bonk!

Ontopic: Personally I want something dagger-ish in looks, we have loads of long sabers and weird short sworts (claymore e.g.). For skills, as mentioned before do some CA boosting, since an assassin doesn't benefit from autoattack that much as a ranger or brawler (?) does (last one I'm not too sure of ;) ).

Im not trying to flaunt it lol just the wording I spose. Most of you dont have it and have no idea how short 5sec really is on a proc. People throw out these short proc for massive dmg ideas, just talking from experience that most of the time cant do anything with it cause it will proc right at the end of a fight or when everything is down. Id prefer something more reliable. In the long run a proc like that doesnt have a whole lot of effect on DPS, you almost waste more time trying to get something off to benefit from it then if you just went like you didnt have it and it effects whatever is being used at the time.

PS that was completely on topic since it was responding to Currans post right above mine about a 5sec dmg increase to stealth attacks and the robe does basically the same thing since its a gauranteed crit which is a 30% dmg increase and makes a good example of how unreliable a proc like that is, especially when limited to only the next stealth attack.
