That effect sounds pretty cool, is anything close to that already in the game or would that be a totally new idea? Would be like a long un-interruptable Concealment with AoE-immunity... nice one .

Shadow's Edge
/insert generic stats, 4.0s delay and big damage spread

Clicky effect:

Unseen and Undetected: Stealths the assassin, this stealth cannot be seen by allies or enemies, lasts 10 seconds (if cast in combat, the mob will see you) applies an unbreakable stealth. Attacks used during the stealth build up the assassin's momentum and the next consecutive attack has it's casting time cut down by 10%, this effect stacks up to 100%(lasts 10 seconds). Attacks while under this stealth decrease threat by 300 each time. 1 minute reuse.

1.8 ppm slow tick poison DoT

Here are some proc ideas

1- Trumatic impact
10% to double next CA damage

2- Non-stop Stabbing
1.0 times/min
Next melee damage gain 10%. Effect ends when caster misses.

3- Deadly memory
1.8 times/min
Repeat last CA casted by Caster

4- Sacrifice
Clicky - 20 sec
All damage are magnified by 200% on target
Inflicts 100% hp on caster at the end of duration

5-Mercenary
Clicky - 30 min recast
Summon X caster duplicates for X sec.
X is the amount of plat in caster inventoy
if x >5 then x =5
Caster losts x/4 of plats at the end of spell duration.

6-Shadow
Clicky - 30 min
Summon Caster duplicate pet (Mimic the caster exactly)
Reduce all caster stat by 50% while pet is in play
Inflict 50% damage and drain 50% power, when caster pet die.

Since my dad plays an Assassin and I know the class kinda well, I thought I'd create a RoK Weapon here. (Template from Dirge forums)

Sai Of Assassination
FABLED
LORE NO-TRADE
+65 str +35 sta +45 int
+285 health +215 power
+10 piercing +5 Double Attack Chance
Lurking Attack
Murderer
Sai
Main Hand Piercing
Damage (128.2 rating)
Delay 4.0 seconds
Weight 2.0
Level 80
Assassin

Effects:
  • When Equipped:
    • On a successful melee attack this spell has a chance to cast Lurking Attack on target. Lasts for 48.0 seconds. This effect will trigger an average of 1.8 times per minute.
      • Inflicts 215 piercing damage on target instantly and every 4 seconds.
      • Decreases threat to target by 100 instantly and every 4 seconds.
      • Decreases STR of target by 75.
      • Decreases Combat Art Damage of target by 10%.
  • When Equipped:
    • When caster uses Decapitate this spell will cast Murderer on caster. Lasts for 30.0 seconds.
      • On a successful melee attack this spell will cast Bloody Weapon on target.
        • Inflicts 125 poison damage on target.
        • Heals target for 125 points of damage.
Basically there would be a simple damage proc with a deaggro and debuff component. If you use Decapitate while Sai Of Assassination is equipped, you will get a shortbuff that deals extra damage on every melee attack. And if you pull aggro after Decapitate for some reason, there is a smaller chance that you die because of a lifetap.

I just figured out that item designer is a really cool job. =)

Nice design and graphic you got there and overall a bit overpowered? (Which is just an idea of course)
Instead of decrease STR, i would decrease parry, defense or AGIL myself, though.

Anyways, nicely thought out.

Yeah, had little time for EQ2 the past weeks. Only for raiding...

Hmm.. Maybe it's overpowered, but who knows how the stats will look like in T8, and I thought since it's an EPIC weapon that would kinda fit.

And the parry or defense debuff seems like a nice idea, didn't think of that. That would even be the first proc in EQ2 (beside poisons) that debuffs defense skills, right?
