I liked the guilt and innocence weapons alot! For FUCKS SAKE, please make the weapon's graphic a fucking katana. Seriously, ever since I betrayed from a ranger to an assassin I wanted to run around with a damn katana, because if any class should be ninja like it should be us! I see tanks get huge two hand katanas, while I'm running around with a gay ass looking dagger dark linger(thank god I don't actually have to use that p.o.s. now). Yes, there are swords out there you can get that do look like katanas, but unfortunately I haven't been lucky enough to loot one yet. The few I can afford to buy are t3h suck on stats/procs.. Maybe, take the idea of rewarding us with a two weapon set, and make them both katanas with cool procs and names like guilt and innocence. Even cooler might be to do a pair that are different sizes (katana and wakazashi). Just my opions... btw, I'm a noob here so uh, /flame on if necessary.

yeah ika, I definitely agree with you about the haste/DA, but I dont want to personally see a simple +haste item. I mean, there are a fair few +hate items out there already and as haste doesnt stack having a weapon with +haste is a waste. leaving haste as a procced or activated effect would allow for a higher haste rating overall.
Personally, for me, an epic weapon needs to go above and beyond what's available. I definitely think it needs to interact with the class on a different level whether it is through modifying CA's (as relic and EoF fabled did) or anoher means. it would make me ill to get the epic only to find out that some instance trash blew it away on every level. The only thing we should ever even remotely consider replacing an epic with is some hardcore contested weapon, and even then, it should be a tough call. Make the quests next to impossible and give us rewards that are worth it.

yeah that what i meant all Wepons should be proc + not Standared i want to see a 15 sec + 60 haste proc on the Epic and maybe a 15% to DA but i think 8% might be fair.
cochy - been hiding in school and work. finialy gradumacated.. now i got free time to fuck around on fourms and stuff. i did not relize you left server! when you do that?

Anybody consider something to make us more useful and desirable in raid situations? I know whenever the issue is brought up people cry "we are DPS, not utility" and whenever we complain about our achievements dev's threaten to examine our game-wide dps and hint at nerf bat swinging. Still, when illusionists can parse in excess of 3k dps and fury's can do 2k dps while doing in excess of that in hps, we bring only a few things to the table.
I don't have any specific ideas but my suggestion is think of bad things that can happen during a raid and then think about what assassins are supposed to be about and then think of something this weapon can do to both help the raid and further define us as assassins. Just making a Soulfire 2.0 seems redundant.

a weapon isnt going to solve that problem, its a core game issue and would require a combat/class revamp to correct if there really is anything to correct

No, a weapon could have a proc such as 'Interrupting attacks' that lowers the enemies hit chance for a few seconds, or maybe a proc that 'hamstrings' your enemy and takes them to thier knees (a stun that works on epics).
True, those should be assassin abilities, but since that wont happen, no reason it cannot be attached to the weapon.
How about if the weapon has a hollowed out portion in the hilt that holds our special ninja blinding powder, and if the mob ever faces us, it has a chance of going off and blinding it?
