What weps are you going to use?

Come these new changes to DW to 1h weps there is going to be a whole new range of mix and match options

I'm still gona stick to my GDoH (untill I get my soulfire sabre) in my mainhand

but as for an offhand the only thing I got going for me is a kilij and an un-attuned shadow axe (saving for the LU if its not what I want my tank alt can have it)

As far as the Kiliji goes its got a fast swing and a killer proc, the shadow axe has a smaller proc and a slower swing, so it would crit harder. So im torn between the two

What are you guys planning on using?

I quite like the Clearcutter Machete

Probably will stay with Bisected + Soulfire at least until I see some of the parses from people who already have a clearcutter or AoNO.

What I was wondering, talking about Soulfire and BS (I use those two as well): Does the Phantomic Handle adornment (?) proc on secondary hand as well? Because it kinda says it doesn't and last time I swapped BS to secondary hand I noticed my power going down very quickly. Unfortunately I didn't look it up in ACT and already deleted that log (and can't log in atm). So does anyone know for sure? If not I'll just test it out later.

It does proc off the offhand but if you don't have a power proc in your mainhand you are missing out on your chances to proc the power proc on each CA which is probably why you are noticing your power dropping so fast.

Okay so I'll just leave BS in mainhand since you can't put the power proc on a piercing weapon, can you? Shame my slashing is quite a bit lower than piercing (as is for most asassins I guess).

Explain to me why soulfire and BS
the GDoH has a higher high hit205 vs 196 and with the assassin self buffed high DPS% gdoh dmg wise would seem like a better choice dmg wise. Is it the better stats and hp/pwr that people want the BS?

2% Melee Crit.....
Higher stats....

is better than:

+9 damage

I dont think the AoNO is gonna be worth dropping the crits, clearcutter and the pick might be a really good combo though with some slashing adornments, but i dont think its gonna be worth the trouble except in select groups.

Dagger of Purity has some real potential, its a perfect match for the SS and the deagro could come real handy with the hate changes and such. It'll be hard to take away the 2 crits on BS from me though lol. . . we'll see.

Because.. you don't have 100% crits and they're not far apart. Yet the BS has 2% crits, higher average dmg, and better stats
