Nightfall coat = -6 sec to recast of deadly wound
deadly wound with 5 aa's in assassin tree = 500+150+200 first dot hit

normaly on a 24sec timer the initial hit = 35.41DPS
with nightfall effect = 47.2 DPS

An 11.81 increase in dps

Now this is only the first hit, not counting the dot that takes place after, even if you are overlapping the dot I think the nightfall coat is one of the best an assassin can have. If not for the 11+ dps but you can use your CA faster = more procs. Like I said its with 5 aa into deadly wound but I dont see myself ever changing my bp until RoK

I don't know....

I wear Static Aura BP or Cunning BP for set Bonus and Decap Bonus. I'm not convinced that this nightfall relic thingy is so uber at all. But then again, I suck at maths and should rather wait for someone else to elaborate ^^.

I guarantee you that Coat of Static Aura or Coat of Cunning easily beats nightfall.

+2% crit on high dmg spread weapons will be alot more then +11.81 dps.

and

Faster recast on decapitate will give a good bit more then +11.81 dps. Maybe not each encounter, but zone wide definitely.

I'd even prefer the leather legendary BP from Mistmoore Castle (\aITEM -863538159 1893182919:The Dhampyre's Linksteel\/a) to that Relic one...

My main is not an assassin, but Coat of static aura/Resplendant robe of battle would do better than Nightfall coat. If you like your Relic BP so much you should macro it in for your attack then swap it out.

Good point, if i could get my hands on the Coat of statc aura i would wear it then, not too keen on the coat of cunning unless i had two other assasssin eof relic to go with it for the killing blade timer reduction, because sure more decaps = higher raid dps but at the same time i would be able to cast deadly wound many more times than a decap and have that many more chances to have a poison or any other proc go off which could in the end be better than a reduced timer on decap

but definatly coat of static aura +2% crits > 11+ overall dps

Yeah yeah its me the rate a retard himself, took a few months off to get my head out of the game and hopefully leave the retard part behind. Not lookin to flame or be flamed just lookin to better my self in as many places as posible

I have considered swapping the nightfall coat in and out but its just too much work for not enough DPS gain. I am already swapping in my set BP for decap and the 3 set on killing blade adding another item to swap in would just make it too hectic.

11 dps is nothing, I can think of like 5-6 chest pieces in game that i would wear over the relic.

On the other hand. . .the Cunning one will always be useful to swap for decapitate while wearing whatever else thats better. Its the last piece i need too and ive been clearing MMIS pretty much every week since like new years
