Proc rate for Apply Poison

Me and the other assassin in the guild were comparing some odd notes on Apply Poison. We both have 5 AAs in the enhancement, and adept3 quality. I have 4.1 ppm on mine, he has 5.2 on his. If we check adept1s on the broker, it's the same rate (4.1 and 5.2).

I /bugged it. I'm wondering what other people see. not sure if it's a cosmetic bug or a real bug though.

Hm I have 5.2 as well. Maybe you had some procs-more-often-buff of any kind? Item maybe?

Mine's 4.1 with only my self-buffs.

looked it up on eq2idb and the pic they show there is 3.0 as well, dont know if that means anything, but whoever took the screenshot couldnt use the spell so I imagine thats pretty accurate.

If you have frontload use it and see what it shows then, Frontload doubles the base proc rate so if its 3.0 than it should be 6ish, mine says 5.9. If for those that had 4.1 and it says 8 than something is wrong. If it goes to 5.9 or 6 than it is probably something cosmetic from a raid you did earlier or something. You can also put it on someone and have them fight and see if it avges what it shows for PPM or something else.

4.1 w/out frontload up. 6.0 with it up

I guess the next step would be to parse it on someone with no trigger % buffs and see what it comes out to.

frontload makes it go to 6, so the native % is definitely 3ppm.

These were all solo with no buffers of any kind btw, except in a group with a tank to test it.

Is apply posion still breaking stealth when it proc's? And what about agitate, last I knew they still broke stealth so I quit using them.

No and no, although weird procs might do you in. Apply poison with AAs hits for 8-15% zonewide on a properly geared & buffed tank. Zerkers, Paladins, and Guardians are the best targets since they can trigger apply poison AE.
