    Perhaps a good test of being OP is what is needed to win. It doesn't matter if an assassin can shadow step and own most scouts and casters. It doesn't matter if a conjies and wizard can one-shot with Elemental Blast and Ice comet.

    What matters is whether or not that stuff helps win the match.

    What is needed to win?

    A tank and a healer.

    If you go through the matches, I'd guess that gears groups without a tank and healer lost 80-85% of the time. The 15-20% of the time that the all-scout-and-caster group did win is largely attributable to gear and player skill.

    The question, then, is what tanks are the best and are those classes overpowered? The best tanks are SK, Zerker, and Paladin. Brawlers are ok, but they are mostly a good 1v1 tank. They can't flatten an entirge group like an SK can. Guardians are fucking terrible, so clearly they don't need nerfing.

    Healers. Almost all of them are OP.

    Again, people like to talk about warlocks and wizards, but if you have a Gears group that is SK, assassin, dirge, ranger, and conjuror (or something along those lines -- almost anything will work here), what do you want for the last spot? A wiz/lock or a healer?

    And if your Gears group is assassin, dirge, ranger, conjuror, and inquisitor (again, almost anything will do here), do you want a wiz/lock or do you want a tank?

    The same question could be asked of wiz/lock vs. an enchanter. Most experienced PVPers would say it's a toss-up.

    The other guy being able to one-or-two-shot people every once in a while, if given the opportunity, is meaningless if that person is squishy himself, can be interrupted, and especially if that person doing so doesn't result in a win.

    You can win a good percentage of the time without your average wiz/lock. You can't win a good percentage of the time, though, without a healer and SK/PAL/ZERK. Yes, there are some brawlers out there that have great gear, etc., and they can definitely do the job, but the average brawler isn't going to be as good as the average SK/PAL/ZERK.

    You can't even hold onto the relic for very long without a healer in Gears. Having a healer is almost a requirement there.

    The point is, don't worry so much about the wizard that just wtfpwned you. Without a healer and a tank, he's most likely going to get wtfpwned himself. Playing on my warlock, I have owned the shit out of SKs. For quite a while, I will be there, nuking the shit out of them, but guess what? The good ones are still standing after all of it, and they can beat me.

    In my opinion, PVP nerfs/buffs should go like this:

    Crusaders and Zerkers -10% to heals, -10% to damage.
    Guardians 20% damage reduction, +10% to damage.
    Brawlers don't know.
    Troubs stay the same.
    Dirges +10% to damage.
    Brigs, swashies, rangers and assassins stay the same.
    All healers -20% to heals. (This is, in part, mitigated by the fact that damage output of other classes is reduced almost across the board.)
    Necros stay the same.
    Conjies -5% damage.
    Enchanters limited range on green stun/stifle.
    Sorcs -5% damage.

    The Gears relic should also do less damage... maybe down to 2/3's of what it is currently doing... or you can make it do 1/3 as much damage, but have that amount of damage dealt to any allies within 10 meters.

    My warlock has 6 or 7 pieces of toughness gear. All of the good ones, anyways.
