idk, it could be. It's definately on there, because I remember finding it when googling a while back... I also remember seeing it as a key in alt + o somewhere...

    Confirmed, no such slash command...

However, I would have a look in Alt + O still.

to get an everytime actual list of slash commands:

    For Example
    1. type "/targ"
    2. Press "TAB"
    3. look through the list and try out which commands are working in BGs
This works for all commands, if you type /a and press Tab you would see all commands that starts with an "a".

    And for your other issue:
and there is no identifier for the class or archclass (like %R for Race) that can be used in Macros.

He wasn't talking about a %r, he was talking about discerning an archetype to target... not getting a target to discern it's archetype...

But aye I forgot about the tab thing, very useful .

If you put /target %r in there, you would just try to target someone called 'Dark Elf' or 'Ratonga'.....

Alt+o -> Targetting Keys -> Select next (or prev) hostile PvP -> bind it to a key.

    cheers for that.

FYI guys, you can't set up an alias for inside the target box of an ability - it doesn't work.

Also, the target switching is so fast that you can't simply do:

    /alias target_named:target %t
<target your named and use the command>
    <Use following macro>
    /target_named
    /useability XXXXXXXXX
    /target_previous

The previous target is selected so fast that the ability is tried to be used on that target (that's WITHOUT queueing of abilities, just the way the game works).

The only way of doing this really is by setting your main target and not having to use /target_previous.

One way I have thought of using alias is by doing the following (from a dirges perspective)...

    /alias main_target:target %t
    /alias debuff_target:target %t

This would be useful for an OT dirge on fights like pentaclypse/ultaclypse, where you set your debuff target to being one of the adds and the main target to be nothing until you have killed the adds, then set it to being penta/ulta.

But Really, /alias isn't something you just go looking for a use for... you should just know it and then when a use comes up for it you should put 2+2 together. Trying to just make use of it BECAUSE YOU CAN would over complicate things and you will find yourself messing a lot up.
