Re: Should Rlam return to EQ2 to lead a raid guild...
yeah Back when both Kalidon's worked together they were pretty much unstoppable.
Though not truly a fair comparison, comparing 1 person to multiple people...... thats almost like trying to compare briza to me!

Re: Should Rlam return to EQ2 to lead a raid guild...
If only Chris had the time to play anymore. Being a guild leader is a real pain in the ass ... being a co-leader with someone else with different ideals and philosophies is even more of a pain in the ass. But when you put two like minded invidivuals together like me and my brother, unstoppable is pretty much the right word. Either of us could take a day off when needed and no matter what ... we had eachother's back. That's what made it work. Blood. There was never a thought of deceit or rivalry between us, no jealousy, none of that stupid bullshit. Just us working together to get shit done.
Besides us though we did have alot of help. The male Edob was great support back in the day ... awesome healer, cunning and I'll say it again ... support. And then of course there was Pawn/Doompa/Fizzle. All three of them were spectacular officers and there is no way the guild could have done what we did without them. Pawn was strict and genius. You cannot fuck with him when it comes to knowing what to do and what not to do. Doompa was hardcore as fuck and some bad-ass DPS, and always had my back. He handled alot of shit that I just didn't have the patience or personality to deal with. Fizzle ... just like Doompa, he always had my back. There was an impenetrable trust between us and no matter what kind of shit people tried to stir, we always found a way to handle it.
If you can get a solid leadership foundation like this ... where everybody works together and nobody secretly undermines the other people, the rest all falls into place. You can have a bunch of guild hoppers and still get shit done. Wasn't that what EL was back in the day? We were openly recruiting in the channels all the time ... we had so many people coming and going it was ridiculous.
Nymphy/Sorbic/Rat were all my homies. I didn't just have to be a guild leader all day ... I could chill with my friends too. We used to talk mad shit about people. Well, mostly they did and I just listened but secretly I was agreeing whole-heartedly with them. Portos was a machine. Was never really friends with him but I always gave him mad props for being an amazing player. He could box his healer ( while main or off tanking ) better than most healers could as their only job.
Nindelote was a long-time healer that helped us a bunch. Great personality and great player ... what else can you ask for from a member? Deft was great too ... wish she had more playtime back in the day.
Crabbok has always been my homie too ... he helped me out back in the day when I didn't even really know him and his character is genuine. I know he still has dreams of killing my cat and egging my house over the matron's heart thing ... but we are good friends. He is definitely a trust-worthy person. Brailyn ... we had our beef but I don't even remember why. Just stupid shit I guess. He had to go AFK back in the day and yeah his company (friends) disappointed the rest of the guild and it reflected badly on him. But all in all he was always a cool dude. He's dependable and brilliant.
Phal was cool. She was just used to running things alot different than I was, but I'd bet everything I own that (she) knows what she's talking about even if I don't. Dreamy apparition of a wonderful teammate I once said ... or something close to that. It's true. It's too bad our tainted past existed or I would say we actually would've been able to work together alot better.
Carlito is a cool dude. People say this or that about him but I never had any problems with him. He was loyal and extremely reliable, and was usually able to give some pretty solid advice.
Ya ya ya ... I can't name everybody but it's 4 AM and before I go to sleep I wanted to say some people were also incredible douche bags ... okay only one person really, and that's Ukobto. Fucking bastard. Go find a fire and jump in.
But in respect for the OP it's only fair that I bring up Rlam too ... I didn't know the guy well but as others have said in this post I would agree that he had a very strong character and demanded respect. He knew what he was talking about and if only he had the support around him I'm sure he would be an amazing guild leader. After having been a leader myself for so long it's hard to imagine following someone else's lead, but if that occassion did exist, he seems like an ideal candidate for the job.
Goodnight

Kal's right, a guild leader needs awesome support to endure and be fucking amazing. Why do you think that every guild I been an officer in lasts for fucking ever! har har har!

This is the EL era I was talking about by the way! I used to be in EL with this crew and it was probably the best time I ever had in EQ2. I played a swashy named Monolynx at the time (Me and Rat used to go all out!!). Pawn, Fizzle and Doompa rocked! And again, from a leadership perspective, I would have followed Kal anywhere! We all had allot of respect for him, and in my opinion he was a true leader.
And Crab...Death Coordination on Chel!
Quick Reminiss moment...The first Matron kill on our server...lol...DH tryed to say we cheated! Priceless! Coercer for the win!
