Actually I meant habitual liar. It refers to a compulsive liar. A compulsive liar is someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. This type of liar bends the truth about EVERYTHING, large and small. This type of liar feels uncomfortable telling the truth, while lying feels right. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning, rather they simply lie out of habit - and automatic response system in place that usually develops in early childhood, due to being palce in an environment where lying was necessary.
Although either would fit because pathological liars are people who lie incessantly to get their way or attention. Usually this type of lying is often viewed as a coping mechanism developed in early childhood and it's often associated with some other type of mental health disorder. They are also cunning and self-centered (I guess this fits a bit more)
