    Default GU 66: Beastlord

    Beastlord
Beastlords can no longer use specific specialty poisons.

Northwind Barrier now casts instantly and can be used while casting other abilities.

Adrenal Flow now properly enables when killing a target with a combat art and doesn't prevent the gain of savagery. It now displays that it cancels when the beastlord uses an ability or attacks.

Savage Howl is now a point blank area effect damage combat art with a positional detaunt component. The second rank increases the positional detaunt. The damage is about double Rank 4 of U'lla's Spinning Bite.

Sharpened Claws now interrupts the target.

Shrink Warder now applies to the beastlord and persists through death. It applies its effects to the warder automatically.

Warders have had their Weapon Skills increased significantly.

Warders now have a 2 second reuse time.
Mainly curious about Savage Howl. Do you guys think it's worth speccing for yet?

It seems like it would be easy to spec into, what's it take, 4 points? Just drop some points out of Primal Strength

I think it's so useful that I class changed and stripped my beastlord of everything.

But no the dehate was cool. The "class being annoying and now no longer really viable except maybe in the place of a swashbuckler" not so much.

    Yeah ....

and the only way to take a Swashbuckler's place is for the Swashbuckler to even have a place in raid So you see where this is going ...

Hey, my Beastlord is at least going to be a raid alt for times when we don't need my Monk or Inq~

    Just curious, why?

Haven't been playing the class long, but don't understand what's wrong to where they're not even needed in raid with the dps they can do?

    Edit: I don't raid high-end stuff, so maybe that's why I don't know?

bl's lost the proc damage thus a big amount of damage. plus other classes got beefed up and might get closer on parse.

savage howl should do more damage.

also no one likes pet classes.

Pet proc is not it really, that would barely affect our parse since they increased pet damage etc. Here are major reasons as to why we all switched mains:

    - First and foremost Rangers got 5% HP debuff, so they are now the 3rd scout on the list to get in raid, and Beastlord would be 4th. Most raids run with 2 mage groups and 2 scout groups and would only want 3 dps scouts in raid.

    - Unresolved hit rate issues.

    - Melee Pets in HM progression fights is a pain in the ass.

    - BL's no longer do 2x the damage of other classes like it was when they first came out, so their lack of debuffs/buffs is no longer made up by their dps, other scout classes DPS the same (as I proved on my ranger last week) and bring more to the raid.

    - Having to maintain feral rampage level 6 with hit rate issues, pet survivability and script heavy HMs is just not viable nor is it ideal. A ranger will demolish a BL in this expac in HM encounters and where it counts.

BLs however will still top the parse on 60-90 seconds tank/spank mobs though.

yea, ranger came out like a fat cat and will definitively be the prime scout on complicated encounters. the good thing is that all the bad rangers who betrayed to assassin will at least betray back now =)

the hp thing needs to be looked at.. it's fucking stupid that classes are being judged on a fucking ability/debuff that takes zero skill to apply.

also raiding a necro for many years the pet isn't a problem for me but i must admit it's much worse on the beastlord since the classes damage is halted at pet loss.

this pretty much, also in order to maintain feral rampage lvl 6 (which is the only way now to remain competitive on the parse with some of the other classes) you have to hit 2.5 CAs/advantages per second on average. You can't maintain that in HM fights, specially once you go past 2min mark with savagery freeze and temps on cool down. Just not worth it.

BLs are like Swashbucklers now, a good one will still DPS well in raid, but there is better options to take with you.
