4 long standing guilds on befallen folded this expansion....a couple of those have been in game since the beginning. I think that it has been alittle more than a speed bump with all the people quitting game.

I am sure the legacy promotion is doing wonders for the populations also.....except not in the way that SoE expected. I think for every one that renews they lose 2 of their loyal customers. Go go rewarding the quitters and fucking over the people that have stuck around thru all the shit SoE pulls.

I've played since launch and seen these cycles before. There is always a recovery. Even tho several guilds have folded, there are still several guilds on Befallen that are going strong and are not sustaining losses due to AoC. These guilds will step up and fill the gaps. The faces and guild names may change but believe me, the game will go on.

It may take some server merges to keep it competitive, but there are still a lot of talented players available to keep the game interesting. I know that in Triumph we have a never ending list of apps and we always have more than 24 show up for every raid. We lost 1 player to AoC. That doesn't sound dead by any means.

People will come and people will go then others will come back. That is what keeps the game alive. EQ2 is a good game and I'm sure it will be here for awhile.

Maybe im just purely ignorant and if so fine. But I don't get what the fuss is aboot. I might blow some minds so be prepared but, I actually enjoy raiding plenty of the stuff. I don't dread venril, I don't hate my repeated MC/VoES/Coa runs. I like my class, I like things that have been done to it. Good heroic instance gear doesn't bother me, cause I would never state I am satisfied with all heroic gear. There is without a doubt a drive to obtain VP/Trak/avatar gear to progress your toon. I'm also looking forward to the new content and I like when new stuff comes out. IF I wanted to play other games, i'd just go click the .exe's. Nobody is forcing me, how about the rest of you? You people sound like you were forced and enslaved into playing the game.

Maybe I just lucked out, picked the right class and am such a simpleton I can't see even hate a game when I should. But I would need reasons I deem worthy to quit over so far nothing bugs me that bad - refer to previous sentence. Perhaps since I came from years and years of Quake 3 im just not used to games having extreme depth and in comparison this one has an overloaded amount and enough to satisfy me.

AoC will be interesting when a lot of the people trying it hit lvl 80. I honestly hear a mixed bag. I hear more good from the PvP crowd though and most pve'ers who went to try it, all I've heard so far is boobs and blood =p. Matter fact someone I know who went to play AoC keeps hopping back to Eq2 because they describe the leveling process as pretty un-fun. They describe it like the RoK push from 70 - 80. Lame quest after quest after quest and so on. Eq2 was fun to level up in...it wasn't fun when I was trying to race to 80 so my guild could raid though - that was probably one of the fewer times i kinda forced playing. But I see peeps on a vent everynight playing AoC so, it can't be bad at all.. Or maybe its more people forcing themselves to play a game!

Of course you have alot apps.

All the vp clearring guilds will have apps out the ass because people want mythicals. Some of the guilds that folded were cockblocked at Dru and Nex for a long ass time.

Yes, the game goes in cycles but I have never seen so many people quit at once.

Those are the same people who are probably already bitching about AoC. They just might not ever be satisfied, atleast until Hello Kitty Island Adventure goes live.

Oh, and is that Snakeman MMO game actually fun? Looks interesting...
