I'm tired of answer questions as about this situation when I log on. I have talked to a couple, but for the rest of you.. here it is...
This is the original post as it was on the defiant board before they deleted in very quickly. Not trying to ruffle feathers or piss on anyones shoes.. but trying to get my point across...

Okies.. here we go.. Lots of have asked... So this is to get yall some answers.
That way there is no lies or whatnot..

It came to my attention that I didn't receive dkp for jan. 6. It was Clair's b-day we were driving home from Huntsville. We were 45 minutes late to the raid. My mom who was an Illusionist got in the raid, she is a raid needed class.
Cool no problem.

**As per- defiant's rules.. **If you are late to a raid, and not put in that raid. Then you do not receive any rewards i.e. attendance(was not stated at the time), Bidding opportunity(which is not a reward since you have to pay for items, but that is for another time), nor dkp.

Didn't care about the dkp or the fighter item that dropped that night. I let it go, hey the guild leader wanted it , won it for 3.. Yipee... Here is my problem.

Okies lets say, Qlum (healer) and Squacky (swashie) shows up 45 minutes late to a raid 5 days in a row. Well Qlum is a healer.. he will get in the raid the moment he logs in due to the fact that he is a needed class. So if a templar item dropped not only could he bid on that item, cause he was in the raid he would get the dkp to. Yes the dkp will be deducted. Squacky on the other hand will get nothing; including the right to bid on swashie loot that might drop. Even though they were both in the wrong for being late.
Now we all know fighter class are the ones that sit. So therefor would never even get that small chance to even get in the raid.

When I asked for Dkp, Lyleth explain to me the rules. So I asked do I even get attendance? No reply was made. So I logged on to the game, asked an officer if I could just get Attendance for the raid. the response was I couldn't only receive attendance because they would have to go through 6 months of Screen shots to make it fair for everyone else. Ok so why not start from the next raid? Cause that would just be too much trouble for them to change?

** I wasn't asking for Dkp, I only wanted attendance for a raid that I was sitting.

I have talked to several guilds, and they have all stated that no matter even if you are late, if you are sitting .. Dkp starts right then and there, they get the chance for loot, and attendance.
Yes yall are defiant, Yall do you own things.

**So you're thinking right now.. why not, not be late right?.. Well shit happens and when it does You get screwed.

** You want a way to fix the problem without pissing anyone else off or losing any other dps?..
- Just give attendance, and loot rights, NO DKP!
If someone is always late they will not have the points to out bid a true raider. That way items do not get ganked from people that work there ass's off.

I hope the best for Defiant.. I hope you kick ass in VP, get phat loots I love most of you, others not so much. Thanks for letting me join you, for the time that I was there it was alot of fun.

bogus. anything i type on eq2flames, I have the forward thinking to realize that its a flame site, where everything posted will be scrutinized and criticized by the public. regardless of my need to enlighten people to a situation im dealing with, I would realize that if I cared bout the few people in the guild then I wouldn't post to further air drama for them and their guild.

3rd - ur whole reason that prompted ALL of this (aswell as leaving) was that you missed 1 night of DKP (or something dkp related, i didn't get it). maybe Im a freak of nature, but dkp...eh. 1 item lost...eh. I'm just not a dkp freak, and after being in the most hardcore raiding lifestyle, I've just learned that for me, there has to be something more than just dkp, perfect attendance, and a kickass raid force. friendship - that the guild just means more to me than acouple dkp points. *cues the NBC peacock music*

It's all about helping the guild defeat whatever it is they're raiding. No, it's not fair that other classes are needed more than you, but even though they're late, they still contribute to the success of the raid if they're ushered in, while you, late and not in the raid, contribute nothing.

or the short version..

tough shit, roll a defiler if you want to raid.

I spoke to a couple people in Defiant and was respectful of it. The thing that bothered me when I heard the news was that 2 people were late on the raid. One spot was open, the Illusionist got in and the monk (Lanee) did not. Both were late but only one was given dkp/attendance for it.

Can we see whats wrong with the picture I have drawn? I hope it is clear as to one of her reasons for posting.

Also, when posting this on their forums it was quickly removed. Whether or not it was to contain a situation I do not know.

But I have heard a couple people are below attendance requirements but are allowed to slide. A main reason, friends with those in power. Could I be wrong? Sure, but I doubt it. The point I am making with this paragraph is...that if you are going to push the rules....push them all the way and not just partially. Hell, in Eternal Chaos, I removed my own Brother-in-law because of his attendance.

No offense to Drrew or Aaden, I respect you both. But as I said to you both, I feel something is wrong. Now that it is public, it is my complete right to state my opinions and views.

Thats my opinion. Nothing more and nothing less.

Defiant has their rules, you knew them before joining(at least you should have), pretty sure that's enough said right there!
