The game has zero depth to it. Stats, feats, gear didn't mean shit when I played it (not sure if it does now). If you like mindless, linear game play you'd probably enjoy it.. I didn't even find the graphics all that great on my bros 8800 ultra (steady 50-60 fps on high shadows off).

I had fucking carpal tunnel in both hands after a week because of the shitty combat system.. The fatalities are fairly cool but the combat system for melee was super fucking tedious with all those combo's to get off one move it took like 5 seconds lol.

You were basically rooted for the 5 seconds too since if you moved after the combo's you still had to sit through a casting bar for a few seconds lol; which basically meant tanking in the game was super gay with a capitol G.

AoC will have a lifespan of prob 6 months till war comes out then everyone tired of their current games content will move to that I'm sure.. Even though its kinda wowish.. There's really nothing fast paced or action packed about AoC, it plays like a game of tetris in slow motion.. I found the melee combat that bad..

I made sure the account was canceled 5 days after EA. I played a conq to 55.

I started to see the game for what it was around 42 which was around 5 days in. 5 tiers in and wearing the same ugly ass shit for gear with stats adjusted to the tier. Every class looked exactly the same as the next guy, everyone had the same red or green cloak on..

I took from june 1st - 22nd off from the game.. Tried to go back after the 22nd with the 10 extra EA days but it still was just too bland, boring, buggy, linear and lacking any type of complex strategy. I had 4-6 attacks, a few group buffs, a few temp group buffs and an uncontrollable rez feature which was utterly retarded. Not to mention healers couldn't rez in combat.. Another brilliant move by funcom. The games the biggest piece of dog shit to ever go live. With enough of you guys in live beta though, it might be somewhat playable and fun in a year..

Well, Conq suck so thats your first mistake.

As for the gear, People do massive quest there so its to be expected that they would have the same cloaks on. But yes, my 70 Tempest of Set looks like a complete fruit but he does have decent gear.

Age of Conan does have its problems. Its to be expected with just going live. But I must say that they are trying to fix the bugs in the game and so far, it has less bugs now than EQ2 does.....at present. I don't know if you rolled on a PvE server or not but PvP is great, especially the FFA PvP servers.

But in the end, not everything is made for everyone. Some will like it, others will not. Hope you enjoy your play time where ever you go though.

I was actually considering hitting a Mets game there this year, but due to a recent move decided to save my cash. Besides, now that they annouced the next Ice Bowl will be at Wrigley(Jan 1st I think), I plan on spending any cash I have on that. Trying to make that a yearly tradition so long as the nhl keeps setting one up.
