Some friends gave us a cat today. We let it out of the cage and it ran into the bedroom to hide.

1 have a 1 bedroom apartment on the 8th floor or a high-rise building.

2 hrs have gone by... both my girl and I have searched the entire home.. everywhere has been searched. The cat is not in the house.

The window was open in the bedroom.

Anyone here know much about cats? Can they survive an 8 story fall?

N00b, we tell you that cats are good eating, when it's actually dog, that's yummy. :P

But as for the cat thing, it depends on how old the cat is and how much time it's spent outside/in tall places. If the cat is dead, it's where/near it landed, but, go look around and see if there are tracks or blood.

But in all likelyhood, the cat survived.
