Default Berserker Epic Weapon Walk Through (idea)

Part 1:
Prerequites for this quest are:
Must be level 80.
Must have finished the Prismatic quest.

At midnight game time each game day a NPC named "A Sanctum Spy" will sneak from the Commonlands/Antonica portal up to The Temple of the Scaleborn. If the NPC manages to make it to the door of the temple it poofs and you have to wait 72 minutes for the next one. The mob is stealthed and you need a "see stealth" buff to target it.

Once targeted you hail the npc.

You say' "I see you sneaking there thief. What secrets do you hide in that bag of yours that would require you to skulk in the lands of the Dragon Lords?"

A Sanctum Spy says' "Get away from me you fool. Your stupidity will bring the attention of the wrong kind our way. Do you value your life? Go away, forget what you've seen here and live to be old and fat."

You say' "Perhaps if you answer my questions to my liking I'll let you go on your way. I'll ask one last time, what secrets do you carry to your master?"

If the person hailing the NPC at this point is any class other then a Berserker the NPC will say' "My information is of no importance to you anyway. Let me be!" The NPC then will continue to skulk to the temple like normal. Any Berserker can still hail it until it poofs at the temple zone in.

If the person hailing is a Berserker then:

A Sanctum Spy says' "You hold no power over me mortal!"

One of two things will take place at this point:
1. If you have not completed the Qeynos Claymore quest.

A Sanctum Spy says' "I work under the protection of powerful beings. You best run along before they decide to squash you hahahaha!"

The NPC then slinks away and disappears into the Temple. Your character gets a silent update and you will need to gather some companions and proceed into the temple to slay Harla Dar. Once you have killed Harla Dar you can once again engage the Sanctum Spy NPC and proceed with the quest.

2. If you have previously finished the Qeynos Claymore quest or Killed Harla Dar after the previous step.

You say' "I am Buuncha Muskuls! Your Lord has already been forced to bend his knee to me. I have seen him lie before me begging for his life. Resist me again and so too shall you see what it is to perish by my hand!"

A Sanctum Spy says' "Nooo, not you. You are the wicked one! Please do not kill me, I did not know, I did not know I swear! I do have information that is valuable. I will share, I promise I will tell you but you will be condemning me to a slow death at the hands of my master."

You say' "Perhaps if what you tell me is of enough value, I will place you under my protection. Then your current master will know that you are safe from his wrath, or he will place himself within mine."

A Sanctum Spy says' "Yes! YES please I will do great things for you master. I will serve you well!"

You say' "Give over your information first wretch and we will see if it's worthy of my protection."

A Sanctum Spy says' "I carry nothing of material importance my Lord, simply information I do not quite fully understand, but must make sense to my former master. There are rumblings of a great item of mythical stature lost during the breaking. This item was most powerful, coveted by the Gods themselves it was said."

You say' "And you have found where this item is at?"

A Sanctum Spy says' "No, nothing like that. But I did discover several things about the item, one of which is of great importance to my master for some reason. The item is a.."

You say' "What? Spit it out. What is it?"

A Sanctum Spy says' "Master, the item is a wea.."

An arrow comes out of nowhere striking the spy in the neck and killing him instantly. The arrow is extremely large and almost beheads the spy before your very eyes.

Searching the immediate area yields a single clue that lets you know the assassin fled back down the portal to the commonlands. Having no clues as to who did it or why, you return to the corpse and are able to retrieve the arrow from what is left of the corpse.

With the arrow in your possession you must go to the Archer Woods in Antonica and seek out the wood elf Fletcher, Eirelek Twofeathers.

Part 2:

You say' "Hail Eirelek Twofeathers."

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "Hail stranger. I'm afraid I no longer accept requests for my goods. You will have to go elsewhere should you be seeking any of my bows."

You say' "I have no need of those services sir. I have an arrow in my possession I was hoping you might be able to tell me some things about. I am willing to pay you for your efforts on my behalf."

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "An arrow you say? Let me see it and I will better be able to determine my commission in this."

You hand over the arrow to Eirelek and he looks at it closely. His eyebrows raise a bit and he lets out a low long whistle.

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "You have never seen one of these before?"
You say' "If I had would I be here now?"

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "Fine, fine. No need to get rude about it. I'll tell you what. Since I retired I have heard stories of a mighty bow being used by an Orc King. I would really like to see this bow and identify its origin. Go fetch me the warbow of Deathfist king and I will tell you more about this arrow you have brought me. Deal?"

You say' "Consider it done."

Travel to Deathfist Citadel and zone in through the front gate. The zone is still a level 40 heroic instance but randomly every 7-10 minutes you will be attacked by 2 to 4 level 84^^ assassins. These mobs are also stealthed and will attempt to sneak up on you and your party. If they manage to get within melee distance before you engage them, they will all Back stab the same random person in your group, killing them instantly. Once you make your way down to the arena you will find a new room off of the gate room for the arena. Inside this room is the armory and a level 84^^^ Emporer Fyst.

Emporer Fyst

Single target attack: Heavy Blow
Does 4500-7500 crushing damage to target. 10% chance to damage weapon of target.
35 second recast. Will cast after it is back up as AI decides.

Short range(5 meters) melee AE: Blade Whirl
Does 1200-3000 slashing damage. Places trauma on all affected targets: Bleeding Wound
Does 550-750 damage per tick. Curable.

Single Target attack: Hammer Throw
Causes 125 crushing damage and stuns target for 5 to 15 seconds. Hammer thrown at whoever is lowest on the hate list. Stun is uncurable.

Once Emporer Fyst is defeated he drops the Emporers Warbow. Mob is also itemized with rewards equivelant to quest rewards in Nathsar Jungle.

Take the bow back to Eirelek Twofeathers.

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "Have you retrieved the bow?"

You say' "Yes, here is the bow you requested."

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "This is a remarkable bow. I am not sure the origin of this design though. Simply amazing. If you are willing to assist me perhaps we can create a useful copy of this design more suited for a non-Orc."

You have two options here. The first MUST BE DONE at this step of the quest or it can't be finished. The second option is to ignore making a different bow and have him tell you about the arrow.

If you choose the first option you get sent on a side quest that takes you to the Bonemire to gather several components and then into Deathtoll itself to gather a rib from Tarinax. This side-quest will give you a Longbow as a reward:

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "Fine then. This arrow has the characteristics of the arrows used by the guardians of the Red Lord himself, Nagafen."

You say' "Nagafen you say? Again he is meddling in the affairs of the world above. This must truly be of importance if Nagefen has involved himself. You're certain of this information?"

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "As much good as it will do you my information is 100% correct. I'm sorry that I have brought your quest to an end but I am not mistaken in my conclusions."

You say' "Oh, this is far from over elf. Nagafen and I will have words over this. Of that you can also be certain. Thank you for you information."

Eirelek Twofeathers says' "Anytime adventurer. Anytime."

Next proceed into Solusek Eye and confront Nagafen in his chamber.

Part 3:

You say' "Hail, Lord Nagefen"

Lord Nagafen says' "Go away mortal. I have no tasks for you to accomplish nor any desire to resist the urge to eat you."

You say' "We have had dealings in the past Lord Nagafen. I have always dealt honestly with you despite your deceptions and tricks. One time you can honor me with an answer to a question!"

Lord Nagafen says' "You assume much mortal. How little you must value your life."

You say' "A single question and a single answer. Surely I have earned this much."

Lord Nagafen says' "Ok mortal, speak your question and I shall see if you are worthy of the answer."

You say' "Why did your assassins kill the spy of Harla Dar?"

Lord Nagafen says' "My assassins? I have sent no orders to have any of Harla Dar's puppets slain. You have come to me with this question under false beliefs mortal."

You show the arrow to Nagafen.

You say' "This was the arrow used to kill a spy of Harla Dar that I had captured outside of his Temple. He was telling me about an artifact he had information on when he was shot in the neck and killed."

Lord Nagafen says' "An artifact? What artifact?"

You say' "I do not know. The spy was killed while trying to explain the details to me. I have reason to believe it is a weapon of unimaginable power lost during the breaking. I believe you know of this weapon and were taking steps to hide its discovery by others."

Lord Nagafen says' "I have no knowledge of this artifact mortal, but I shall spare your life for bringing this to my attention. I did not order this spy to be killed but that surely is a device of my armies. You may leave now the way you came and be glad of my generosity."

You say' "But what of the artifact?"

Lord Nagafen says' "None of your concern mortal, begone!"

Taking the gong back out into Sol Eye you find yourself surrounded by 8 Assassins of Nagafen.

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "You are a FOOL for involving the Red Lord in this. You will pay for your meddling!"

You say' "So Nagafen truly doesn't know anything about this? Why did you kill that spy and who ordered his death if not your Master?"

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "It is not your place to know the answers to those questions. Your time has come to an end and your meddling stops now!"

You are attacked by all 7 of the 8 assassins. The mobs are level 80^. The 8th assassin goes into stealth and sits waiting by the edge of the platform. Once 4 of the 7 attacking assassins die the 8th one goes active as a lvl 81^^ mob and starts running back up the ramp to the Oratorium of Thyr. If he manages to escape he comes back with 7 more level 81^ assassins and goes back untargetable until 4 of these have been killed. If he is engaged before he can make his escape to get reenforcements he cannot be killed until the last 3 other assassins are defeated. Once the last three are killed he yields and starts to babble:

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "You fools might have saved your own skins for now, but eventually you shall be overcome. Nowhere is safe, Nowhere!"

You say' "Why have you done this on your own. Why is Lord Nagafen not involved?"

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "Hahahaha, fools"

You say' "Ok then. Time we take you to your Lord and have you explain this to him yourself."

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "Wait. No, you must not. You can't!"

You say' "Let's go."

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "No! No please, No! It was a dark elf. A dark elf gave us the plan to get the weapon. He said Nagafen must not know or he would destroy us all!"

You say' "What weapon?"

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "I don't know. It was told to us that we would become more powerful then even our master if we were to discover it and find ways to create more for ourselves. We tire of our slavery and wanted to break free of our bonds to the Red Lord. We couldn't afford to let anyone else find out about this weapon and find it for themselves."

You say' "Who is the dark elf? Where can we find him?"

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "We don't know. He comes to us on his own schedule when he wants. He stinks of ash and death but he carries secrets too valuable to be passed up. I swear I do not know where he is to be found."

You say' "Ash and death, of course he must abide somewhere within the stronghold of your Master here in Solusek Eye."

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "He does not come from Lavastorm or Solusek eye. He dwells someplace else and we have yet to determine where. He is like a ghost, coming and going as he see's fit."

You say' "I think you are lying to me. We will let Lord Nagafen decide if what you say is true."

An Assassin of Nagafen says' "No. It must not be. It must not.."

The assassin will then fling itself from the platform into the lava below.

Part 4:

Travel to the Temple of the Red Lord in Jarsath Wastes. Randomly once per game day a Lone Dark Elf will walk from the Temple of the Red Lord and take off on a Sokokar from the Sokokar post nearby. 36 minutes later he will return on a sokokar and walk back up to the temple. You have to move within aggro range of him and he will start talking to you.

A Lone Dark Elf says' "You. Those incompetants continue to fail us. Well so be it, I shall finish the work they were given!"

The NPC will run up to the temple and disappear. Follow him and at the temple you will be engaged by several waves of mobs.

Wave 1:
2 sets of 3 level 79^^ humanoid constructs. Straight melee.

Wave 2:
3 sets of 3 level 80^^ dragonoid constructs. Straight melee plus short range aoe stuns.

Wave 3:
4 sets of 3 level 82^^ Nightbloods. Straight melee plus short range aoe stuns plus one of the mobs ae heals its companions.

Wave 4:
A single level 83 epic x2 "A Lone Dark elf"
Hps 15,000,000
First 50% of his life he randomly summons a PC to him and uses them as a shield. If the raid doesn't stop attacking immediatly after the summon all incoming dps lands on the summoned PC. After 6 seconds if the PC hasn't been killed by the raid then they are thrown to the side and take 50% of their remaining hps in damage. At the 50% mark the Dark elf falls to its knees and becomes untargetable.

A Lone Dark Elf says' "You are proving to be more of a problem then we originally anticipated. It is unfortunate we will have to reveal ourselves to you but since you will be dead, I suppose it is a risk we can take"

He then morphs into a lvl 84 epic x2 Nightblood "Nightblood Intrusioner"
Hps 15,000,000
Heavy single target DPS and 35 meter AE Crumble
Inflicts 3400-6400 crushing damage.

Itemized with rewards equivelant to T1 RoK raid zones.

Also drops a shadowed Scroll. If you know how to speak the Shadowed Man language you can read the scroll. It simply reads "It has begun."

Part 5:

Now you must travel to the Obelisk of Lost Souls and do the ring event on the bottom floor. This time all mobs are level 80+ and the final mob drops the key to a unique version of the raid instance called "The library of souls"

When you zone into this Library there are several information pedastals like found elsewhere in the Zone. Each one gives a little tidbit about the weapon you are looking for information about. Once all the pieces are read you are able to piece it all together to determine that:

The weapon is forged by a mythical smithy hammer of the ancient dwarves.
The ore used for the weapon is from another planet.
The hilt and pommel for the weapon are of divine origin.
The fire needed to forge the weapon cannot be created by mortals.

All 4 of the above pieces of information are being investigated by more agents of whoever built the Obelisk.

The following can be done in any order:

Travel to Kaladim and zone into a special version of the StormGuard Hall.

You encounter an "Obelisk Agent"
Level 84^^^

Kill this agent and find a note. The note indicates the Hammer has been located in Stormguard Hall but that using the Hammer drives the weilder insane. Pick the hammer up from its case in the hall.
Travel to Antonica and zone into the instance below Vhalens Belltower. Here you must talk to Garanel Rucksif. He is quite obviously crazy but after talking to him for some time you finally convince him to forge a weapon for you. He gives you a whistle and tells you to use it to summon him from his planar realm once you are ready to forge the weapon.

Travel to Thundering Steppes to the crater North of the Ruins of Varsoon zone in. Again you encounter an agent of the Obelisk Same as in Kalidim, kill the mob and loot the star speckled ore.

Travel to the Temple of Life in North Qeynos. Inside the temple encounter another Agent of the Obelisk and kill it. Loot from it the Strangely glowing hilt.
Travel to the Academy in North Freeport. In the basement encounter another Agent of the Obelisk and kill it. Loot from it the strangely glowing Pommel.

Travel into Solusek Eye to the Forge at the bottom of the zone. You will encounter another Agent of the Obelisk, kill it and discover a note indicating that perhaps the Fire Giant Smiths know of a fire not made by a mortal. Talk to the Fire Giant smiths by the forge and learn that only a dragon could produce a flame hotter then the ones used by them in the depths of Solusek's Eye. They explain you would need a way to control a dragon in order to produce such a flame.

Part 6:

Travel to Oracle tower in Antonica and go up to the top floor. Use the globe to travel to newbie Island. Make your way to where Darather spawned during the Prismatics quest to find The Sage of Ages encased in some type of force field.

You say' "Hail, the Sage of Ages"

The sage explains how he was captured by a group of agents using mysterious forces. You in turn describe how you need a method for controlling a Dragon to produce the flame needed to forge the weapon. You strike a deal with the Sage that if you free him, he will provide the means to get the flame you need.

Travel back to the Obelisk of Lost souls. Once you zone inside you start a timer. After 2 minutes waves of mobs start coming from the temple itself and attacking your position.

Wave 1: 8 level 78 heroic Nightbloods
Wave 2: 8 lvl 79 heroic shadowed men.
Wave 3: 2 sets of 10 mobs. 1 of lvl 80 nightbloods and 1 of lvl 80 shadowed men.
Wave 4: 5 level 82^^ Nightbloods
Wave 5: The Nightblood Intrusioner again. This time with 2 level 80 adds every 25% of his life.

After defeating the last mob a group of non-aggro NPC's (new graphic, something alien) come out and demand to know why you are attacking their stronghold. You explain your quest and your desire to free The Sage of Ages. A lot of backstory on why the aliens seek the weapon is provided along with providing insight into the lore of their race. At the end they provide you with a device that will enable you to break through the force field encasing the Sage of Ages.

Go back to newbie island and use the device on the sage, freeing him. As agreed he explains that the fires used in the forge by the tower on this island will enable you to forge the weapon you are after and he disappears.

Go back to the starting area of the island and use your whistle by the forge. Garanel will apear and ask if your ready to forge the weapon. Tell him you are and he will take your ore, hammer, hilt and pommel and start forging the sword.

After about 30 seconds Garanel will fall under attack by Assassins of Nagafen, trying one last time to stop you from getting your hands on the weapon. You will have to repel waves of attackers,(small waves 3-5each) until Garanel is finished. Once he finishes a script begins where the leader of the assassins comes out to lay claim to the finished weapon. Garanel hands the weapon to you and says "That fire wasn't hot enough to get the best finish my friend. Your gonna need a hotter flame then that to produce truly remarkable results. I did manage to get this completed. If you find a hotter fire then that, call me again and we can truly work some smithing magic!"

Then you must face the leader of the assassins in one on one combat. If you lose this fight the assassin flee's with the weapon. If you defeat him, then you get to keep it. If you do happen to lose, you can go down into the bottom of Solusek Eye and zone into a special instance of the Oratorium to challenge the assassin again and upon killing him, claim your weapon.

against themself onto their blade.

On a successful melee attack this spell has a chance to cast
Brutality on caster of spells group. Lasts for 10 seconds. This
effect will trigger an average of 1.6 times per minute.
Casters group will gain:
Increase double attack of caster by 6
Increase attack speed of caster by 12
Increase crit chance of caster by 18

Uses the same Graphic as Frostwrath but a dripping blood particle.

Part 7:

Once you have defeated the leader of the assassins you can take your weapon back to the Sage and confront him for lying to you. When confronted he laughs at you falling for it and then converts into Darather and attacks. Almost the same encounter as the T5 Darather except now he is lvl 85 x4. Once defeated he tells you about a device that can be used to control a dragon to force it to provide your forging flame. The collar lies in Vyemms Lair. Go to Halls of Seeing and zone into the Special version: Vyemms Hoard. This is an epic x 4 zone populated with several named guardian mobs between you and Vyemm. FIght your way down and at the end defeat a lvl 85 x 4 Vyemm with unique abilities unlike the T7 version. Go into the room behind his room and lay claim to the device that Darather described to you.

Again make your way down to Nagafens Lair in Sol eye. Go into Nagafen's room and confront him with the device. On doing so Nagafen lets out a beastly roar which alerts the entire zone to your treachery. Use the whistle to summon Garanel and hand over your axe. Garanel will start the forging process. After he starts forging waves of Elite Fire Giant Warriors start rampaging towards the lair through the Oratorium. This is an epic x 4 event that requires a fully mastered, partially VP geared raid guild. Wave after wave of Fire giants will try to get through the Oratorium to save their Lord. You will continue to repel these waves while Garanel finishes the forging. Finally He proclaims he is finished but babbles on about almost losing control. He seems even more insane then before as he throws you the weapon and disappears in a flash without a word. Right then The Lady Vox arrives. Having heard Nagafens unearthly yell from even her restless abode she has managed to locate herself to his lair to try and save her beloved. She is a lvl 84 x 4 with more unique abilities not encountered before.

After defeating Vox Lord Nagafen falls into a greif-stricken daze which allows you to disengage the device and get the hell out of there, weapon in hand.

Bloodlust: This effect will trigger when the rampage line of Combat arts is used.
Decreases reuse timer of combat art by 33%.
Increases trigger by 4
Once all triggers have been used the blade unleashes an
aoe attack that does 1850-2200 damage to unlimited targets.
When this area of effect goes off, heals the berserker for
110 health for every mob that is hit.

On a successful melee attack this spell has a chance to cast
Maelstrom on casters group. Lasts for 18 seconds. This
effect will trigger an average of 1.8 times per minute.
Increase double attack of caster by 12
Increase melee crit chance of caster by 24
Increase damage per second of caster by 36
Increase attack speed of caster by 48

This blade is sentient.

New unique graphic with a nice particle effect.


The first time the person tries to use this blade the are ported to a special instance that exists inside the blade. In this instance they are confronted with a doppelganger of themselves wielding the weapon.
The weapon is controlling the doppelganger and attacks you on the spot. You are forced to defend yourself and defeat the blade in solo combat. If you lose then you are ported out of the instance and the blade is unequipable. You must wait one game day (72 minutes) before trying to use the weapon and being posted back inside the blade.

If you defeat the blade it accepts you as its new master and allows you to equip it. From that point on whenever Bloodlust goes off the Blade makes some random emote about its need for blood being quenched.

Pretty much.

3 hour flight layover with only a word processor, a really expensive bar and some time on my hands to do whatever.

I figured since I took the time to write it, I'd take the time to share it. Not necessarily EXACTLY what I would like for a quest, but along these lines as far as depth and scope goes.

Feel free to ridicule me if you want, I only really did it for my own enjoyment
