I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet. Since Berserk lasts 10sec, and Adrenaline M1 lasts 34sec, could Aeralik's above statement be interpreted to mean the following? Or should it mean the following...

You are fighting, are Berserk, and cast Adrenaline. The 34sec countdown begins. Adrenaline does it thing until Berserk wears off. Berserk triggers again. Adrenaline does it thing yet again. Rinse, repeat until the 34sec duration of Adrenaline M1 is completed. So you'd most likely get at least 2x full 10sec durations of Adrenaline, with the perfect scenario being you'd have 3x full 10sec durations. The extra 4 seconds is buffer time to initially cast Adrenaline.

It makes no sense whatsoever for M1 to have a longer duration than Adept 1, yet still cancel when Berserk ends. The problem with this spell currently, is that after the first 10secs, then what? 24secs of power drain without getting anymore benefits from the spell. All you've done for obtaining a Master spell is to suffer a power drain for a longer period of time. This might be clear proof that no Dev actually looked or paid attention to this spell after initially creating it. Their software development database program automatically went ahead and based on % values, created the App1-M1 set of spells for this one. If anyone with any logic at SOE looked at this, they would understand straight away there is a problem here. Clearly something has fallen through the cracks.

As to what the spell actually does and the benefits and drawbacks of it, well you guys are already covering that nicely.

I hope I've explained this clearly, if not maybe someone here who understood what I posted, might be able to illustrate it more clearly.

pretty sure m1 is 32 seconds, but yea, as everyone ahs pointed out now, it's kinda crappy having to relie on luck to have the thing work and to get penalized so hard, reagrdless if it works for 32 seconds or 1 second.

The best part about this thread is a dev stating early on how we are fucked, but no dev reply back to all the valid points made about it. Way to keep your client base happy, I would totally understand no respone if it was not vaild statements being made, but with this amount of backlash from the berserker community Aeralik could at least have something to say.

Khisma... the part about 24 seconds of power drain is wrong, the power drain happens (or is supposed to) when the spell wears off. Not while it's up.

The rest looks about right though.

i think another issue that needs to be stressed is the fact that the way this spell works right now , theres no point in even upgrading to master 1. it only increases the duration on the spell, which is pointless when the spell can only be up when zerk is...

it realy needs to be seriously looked at because it destroys the idea of upgrading spells. They are suppose to get better when you go from adept 3 to master 1..... duh?

yea, had i known it worked this way i wouldn't have bothered upgrading the master even though i got it from a guildmate i now feel they might have been better off milking some noob for 10-15p for the master. sure at M1 level it might buy you a second or 2 average more in the ability being triggered and up but whoever went over this ability needs a swift kick in the ass. a proc spell that only lasts about 15 seconds average after procs at M1 level and is upgraded based off of duration is obviously a joke to us. after the mana "fix" things will definitely be ugly for this ability unless they really take some of this criticism seriously.

it really is a let down having spent a few hundred plat on masters to only find out our one true defensive ability has been broken since launch and is now going to get nerfed to be useless, after playing zerk for 3.5 years if there was anytime to quit i think now would be a good time.

I've been fighting to switch to guard for a while now, even when another zerker in my guild already betrayed, but this is getting too much. I thought adrenaline might be a decent save for us as I watched our guard's DPS close in on mine. Now I'm really starting to debate how much SoE hates us.

BTW I think Aeralik isn't responding because he's too busy finding another way to fuck us over.

Next update:

Berserkers
Juggernaut- Will now only work while a berserk proc is running. You will still suffer the mitigation debuff the entire duration of Juggernaut, but will only receive the Crit and Base Damage upgrade while in berserk.
