yes, casting orders for a zerk are a myth, to be shelved with the idea that timing auto attacks unless you have your mythical and have 3 or more mobs in front of you actually makes a noticable difference or not.

Timing your CAs is pretty much awesome. My g/f is a ranger and she turned me on to timing my CAs with the help of ACT.

Once you get used to casting a CA between auto attacks your DPS *will* go up. No question about it.

In ACT under "Triggers/Sounds" add these lines to your custom triggers (if you want to just try it out, set it to "beep", otherwise find a very short WAV to use for your beeps):

.*?YOU hit.*
.*?YOU critically.*
.*?YOU double.*
.*?YOU try.*

Using the last one won't give you any insight on how many times you've missed the mob, but the beeping is only there for you to time your CAs and maximize your DPS.

bah, you had me all emo about my parses Goz, til it was brought to my attention your parse is all outgoing, not all outgoing damage. i thought your list seemed a bit long, heals don't count as damage, or wards or other beneficial spells/abilties.

Well that's embarassing... I'll dig through my logs and get the proper option highlighted this time lol... I'd been up for over 24 hours when I orginally posted those and was quite exhausted at the time.

Shush Sizzle :P

In case anyone's interested my ACT stop timer is set to 4 seconds after combat has ended.

Here is the same 20 fights with the right option highlighted. The difference was approx. 140dps.

While looking through the logs I also noted I had included 2 fights where my dps was really low due to being distracted or late to the fight altogether. If I'd taken those 2 fights out I'd be at 6975.44 instead of what's below, but then it wouldn't be the same parse.

I went back and re-looked at that burn fight as well. I knew it seemed a little high. It was 9250.80 with just outgoing dps. It was 10k stable, we went down to 2 mobs then someone pulled another 1 after they were dead, so it dropped off alot before the encounter ended.

SOH ZW 6929 (rounded up) Outgoing DPS

Had a good run in SoH tonight so I thought I'd share my parses. I have ACT the same with a 4 sec. stop timer.

Had Temp, Def, Ass, Illy, Dirge (Ass and Illy were later swapped in for a Swash and a Cor -- since they were late)

ZW with the same mobs as Norgoz did: (7646.20)

E-Peen parse. Sucks because by someone else's parse (person who usually does the parse channel stuff) I was over 10k, but mine didn't seem to pick that up, still not too bad for a 3:19 fight: (9931.66)

Someone do me a favour to satisfy my curiosity, and post a zonewide for an instance run. RE2 would be best. Don't forget your group setup and don't hide your EQ2players! This is simply for my own research.
