You can't have 200% haste, you can have +200 haste which = 125% haste (hardcap for players). 125% haste on a 4.0 delay weapon = 1.5s delay. Use /weaponstats to see your actual delay and damage with different amounts of dps/haste/str to see what stuff does.

4.0 delay weapon + 125% haste = ~1.8 delay weapon, not 1.5.

Vydar how do u set up ACT to beep when the Auto Atack goes off?

It looks like i am going to need two sets of macros one for raids and one for solo play since I will have diferent amount of haste.

I will have to find the formula of how haste effects delay. Since we can have up to 200% haste it just doesnt make sense, but I have seen a formula before that should explain it.
I'm not sure, I would go insane with that beeping in my headset all the time. I don't use it, I just look at my damage numbers.

Ya I tried the beeping, it sucks. Then factor in the delays between when you actually swing, act picks it up, you hear it, you respond. It's about as helpful as watching your combat log or looking at numbers above the mobs head.

Default Re: Casting order of CAs on Raids

I have diferent set up macros for diferent encounters on my Logitech programaable keyboard. Due to me used as a DPS on raids, I try to stay up on hate list if the 2 Guards the MT and OT go down, but not to take agro away. I start off with small damage and then crank it out.

My main DPS config on raids starts off with

1) Auto attack - on
2) Executioners Wrath - AoE haste and DD - 26 sec duration -.90 sec delay
3) Heroic Oportunity - .20 sec delay
4) Amputate - Minor DD, Slow, and DoT - .90 Sec delay
5) Persistent Battering - DD and Debuff - .90 Sec Delay
6) Master II Lvl 75 - Mock -Single target Taunt - to stay on hate list - .90 delay
7) Violent Pedge - DD and taunt - .90 Delay
8) Frenzied Blows - 3 next Melee will crit - .90 Sec Delay
9) Demolish - high dam DD - .90
10) Agonizing Press - buckler Knockdown stun DD - .90
11) Ruthless Strike - DD + interupts + stun - .90
12) tundra slam - buckler Knockdown stun DD - .90
13) Heroic Oportunity .20 sec delay - .2
14) Breach - DD - .90
15) Stampede - DD - .90
16) Destruction - DD 10 triggers 36 Sec - 3 Sec Cast

WAIT 10 - 15 Secs - If multiple mobs, I then go and start an AoE macro for all my AoE spells to start, if not i launch a 2nd Macro that matches the above but with some things taken out due to recast times being too great.

If on a single mob and have to launch a second macro - I will hit Jugernaut before I start it.

Right now I don't think I am giving myslef enough time to auto attack.

If a raiding zerker has a better idea for cast order please let me know.

I am new, and I am learning, so I might be completely fucked up.

Thanks to all who throw in their 2cents and knowledge.

It is but a .2 second delay is needed for the keyboard to actuate the command.

What does everyone think of the setup I have in casting the CA order?

Do you think I have alocated enough time for Auto Attack, cause the recast time of the CA does not count in the delay?

since I don't think alot of us program everything we do, I think your best bet would be to just try a bunch of things. I'm curious though, so when you get it all figured out, let us know.

Default Re: Casting order of CAs on Raids

After some testing in ACT, I found that the best casting delay is ONE sec to maximize Auto Attack

Before the pull I now cast manually either one of these three

1) Hot button macro - Clickable Bezerk and the Juggernaut

or
2) Destruction 10 triggers of 600 DD

or
3) Mayhem - mitigation 30 sec duration

Then I go in to the following macro for DPS not Agro on my Logitech G11 keyboard:

1) Auto attack - on
2) Executioners Wrath - AoE haste and DD - 26 sec duration -1.0 sec delay
3) Amputate - Minor DD, Slow, and DoT - 1.0 Sec delay
4) Persistent Battering - DD and Debuff - 1.0 Sec Delay
5) War Pledge - DD and taunt - 1.0Delay
6) Executioners Wrath - DD + 10 sec high chance crit
7) Heroic Oportunity - .15 sec delay

8) Frenzied Hits - 3 Hits melee Dam - 1.0 Sec Delay
9) Demolish - high dam DD - 1.0
10) Agonizing Press - buckler Knockdown stun DD - 1.0
11) Ruthless Strike - DD + interupts + stun - 1.0 Sec Delay
12) Tundra slam - buckler Knockdown stun DD - 1.0 Sec Delay
13) Heroic Oportunity .15 sec delay
14) Breach - DD - 1.0 Sec Delay
15) Stampede - DD - 1.0 Sec Delay
16) War Pledge - DD and taunt - 1.0 Sec Delay

Then I hit some of my low casting time AoE and then I start over if the mob is not dead, but most of the time, the mob dies by the end of the macro.

Can anyone suggest anything for the above that could improve the macro in terms of DPS?

I will post some ACT numbers for everyone here shortly. Just remember, I just turned 78, I am only a month in to raiding, so gear and weapons suck, but my CAs are all Tier 7 Masters and I have 4 Tier 8 Master CAs.

I have only been playing since last Oct so I am still learning a lot. Therefore any knowledge you share will be apreaciated.
