Default Better parsing

Does anyone really have a good setup to parse and have an idea of what I should be parsing consistently? I'm an 80 zerker with pretty much every piece of descent gear I can get without raiding. I start out with acceleration strike, executioners wrath, demolish, and frenzied hits. After that I basically mash buttons and keep popping my temps as they come up.

I parse consistently at 1.8k. I keep catching shit about how I should be consistently parsing at 3k. Don't get me wrong I can parse up near 4-5k on nameds with ALL my temp buffs going. But what am I doing wrong that I can't parse 3k consistently. Any help is much appreciated.

what's your group makeup, your gear and your raid's zonewide parses look like? sorry, my crystal ball is broken so i couldn't guess what those all were to say if you are on track or not. 1.8k is the lowest a zerk should parse in raid, that is if you are in a group all by yourself and the zonewide is low, low like ~20k zonewide.

Usually I'm with pretty shitty DPS. I'll put it this way... I'm usually top zone parse in places like CoA, Vaults, and Maidens. My gear is pretty much top notch for not raiding.

The zone wides that zerkers talk about for the most part are raid zones. Raid dps is much higher so unless you take a break between each encounter to recast your temp buffs i really doubt you will be parsing that high.

With a dirge and a monk (small haste buff) in the group for the final epic fight - single, yellow heroics - I barely broke 2k using the Star of Morning Glory (decent, but not great legendary from CoA). I was flipping in and out of defensive stance. I have some RoK legendary, Band of Thuuga and Labs/DT gear.

I know we all like to talk about dps, but as long as you are holding aggro and you healer can keep you up in CoA/Chelsith/Vaults, don't let parses ruin your fun. Don't spam your CAs, though. You want at least one autoattack between each one.

since they said they have the best gear they can obtain outisde of raiding, I'm guessing they don't raid.

I agree totally with your statement. Parsing high is always a plus for a tank and more so for a berserker, but like this statement says don't let it ruin the fun if you are not on the top of the list. Also the spamming of CA's if for the weak minded. I say that because I did the spamming of CA's far to long and once I started learning or should I say practicing the timing of CA's has increased my dps on all the fighter toons I play.

Many players start spamming those ca's in desperation thinking it will make the parse higher, but on long fights this just isn't the case. Sure spamming will put out some nice burst damage and that is great for the short fights, but on the long fights a steady consistant arrangement of auto attack coupled with combat arts will/should make a stronger parse on those longer fights.

Learn what is the best arrangement for your combat art attacks. Since every class is on different timers I would say make it a practice to learn what is the best for the situation at hand. If the fight is expected to be long I would possibly start out using my longest refreshing combat arts first so that by the closing of the fight you can have those harder hitting arts back up and help fininsh the mob.

Every fight will be different and a new approach or adjustment may be needed for each fight. Your haste is a big consideration in this as well. I find for me the more haste I have the less combat arts I use or should I say I wait longer inbetween combat art usage.

Example I have been with monks with very high self haste that are not doing well in the parses and others that are (mind this that they are barefisting and equip is very similar if not exact) kicking some nice dps out. I spoke with the monks that are parsing well and asked them how are you doing so good while I see other monks that can't even get close to what you are doing. I usually get the same reply everytime and that is they do not spam their ca's since they have such high haste.

Now those monks still use combat arts it is they just don't spam them. I have applied this to my zerker when he is setting group buffed hasted at roughly 140+ and it has worked wonders for him.

Again each fight will call for a different approach. I would say on long fights if you are hasted very high I would use more auto attack and less combat arts. If not hasted high then use more combat arts but do not spam them and just try to keep a consistant damage going at all times.
