You said "everyone else" which given the context of aeralik talking about all the other fighters would include the brawlers.
Thats fine, if brawlers can not perform their intended group role on raids (tank), then they should be able to dps just slightly under rouges. Which for the most part they dont.

I never said everything is great with berserkers man. I don't feel any differently about the berserker class now that I've betrayed. I'm just saying it's not as bad as a few berserkers like to make it out to be. There are atleast a few zerkers doing everything in this game that any guard is doing - and doing it with more dps.
I know 5% less damage isn't much, I was responding to the question that kfizzle had about the exact differences between the weapons, and the weapons only. I'm not here to compare every CA and buff. Defensively, the guard wins, and should. Learn the classes and decide what you want to play, the choice is yours. If you feel the other class in your archtype is better for you and what you are doing in the game, then betray, it's not a big deal.
As I said earlier, the biggest difference between guard and zerker right now is the mythical, which the dev's atleast acknowledged and changing a little bit. I know it's not much, but it's something. And when new and better weapons are brought into the game, guards may be stuck using an older weapon while zerkers are using the new shiny ones. And then I might betray back and talk about about how bad the guardians have it...

also don't get me wrong on this either, zerks aren't a broken class. i've main tanked all the hardest encounters in VP and pretty much one pull one killed them all(with the help of a few deathsaves). what continues to chip away at me is how little i gain as i progress where other classes such as even "the" tank class continues to benefit their DPS more than i and narrow that gap even further, making me feel like this is a dried up piece of shit class when they can do everything we can and better.
there's good reason so many betrayed and telling people to stfu when all they want is some very minor tweaks to make them happy again is just absurd.

lol i love Lizerd, he was just trying to clarify my confusion a bit on the weapon ... but i STILL think the guard one kicks the zerk one's ass.
As for Brawlers ... look i don't know what top top monks are doing (I hear 5K+) and we have a bruiser who regularly can hit 4k+ (i think the highest i saw him was 6k but he mighta been higher) ... so i'd say Brawlers are fine, especially cause they have better raid-wide utility than Zerks.

brawlers do more DPS than plate but have less survivability, they are where they are supposed to be on the chain.

have you seen brawlers parsing 5k+ zone wide? have you seen rouges taking damn near the same beating as a brawler?
For the end game (last 4% of content maybe?), zerker is just one of those in-between type classes. Some will always want to tank like a guard, some will want to dps like a brawler, and of course many want both.

and that's why the balance was ignored, because so many zerks are swayed one way or the other and some want 32 seconds of adrenaline with no power drain at all, others want to dps like an assassin and others want to tank like a guard while retaining their DPS leverage.
the only problem i really see is guardians are doing slightly more DPS than they should and have more versatility in their AAs than they should.
the main problem i have with the zerk class is it hits a wall sooner than guardians do and guardians benefit more due to their slightly more powerful CAs and their lack of self dps buffs which give them better defensive temporary ones. zerk temp DPS buffs mean less and less as time goes on while guardian defensive buffs still retain their meaning and purpose.
