Default Hate Gain Items.

anyone ever make a list of known hate gain items?

I am getting my ass kicked lately in TSO, cause it seems like assassins and wizards are now nearly impossible for me to keep aggro off of, especially on our server, where there seems to be a whole lot of bored raiders with lots of down time - and ending up in my groups.

for me, mythical DPS classes are a nightmare, for a few reasons, even thier weakest DPS seems to pull aggro alot + sometimes, they just dont want to work with the group, but against it.
giving me little jabs like "dont tell me I have to use my deaggros now".... always wanting to do that 15k hit on first strike....
getting killed, then mobs wandering from person to person killing us.

it really is to the point where, when forming groups I see "80 assassin" - I just say 'no thanks'.
it just feels impossible lately to work with assassins cause thier DPS is almost too high, when they are mythical/raiders.

my master 2 is mock, my other taunts are all master 1's. with about 10 other master 1's mixed in. I often run in offensive stance, everything not mastered is adept 3. I have my epic, and a great set of instance gear, with alittle raid gear here and there.

I've never had this much trouble holding aggro, till starting TSO.

at the moment I only have 3 clear options.

1. respec down the STR line for increased hate - but this seems like a bad idea, since it basically means I gotta sacrife AA already used for DPS, for hate gain, cause I need the DPS too to hold aggro, so this seems like a so-so idea.

2. avoid warlock, wizards and assassins for the entire duration of TSO... or atleast till I have 30-40 more AA.

(seriously, those are the absolute worst classes for me so far - I hate to admit it, but sadly, its true)

3. start tracking down hate gain gear... if theres any I can get from instances/quests.




now, I know dirges and such can greatly help with hate, but the plain fact is... when forming groups at 2 am, dirges and such seem to be as rare as snow in july.
what I often have, is a huge abundance of DPS classes, few healers, and occassionally mezzers.
perfect groups, are few and far between for me.

You really should consider Str 4 at least to some extent. It's worth it. You realize Str 4 increases anything that procs a taunt, including item procs, aggressive defense, the taunt portion of War Pledge- basically anything that has a taunt component? What AAs are you specced for right now? Str/Sta/Int is still the way to go. Full Int line then max out either Str 4 or Sta 4 depending on if you need more hate or more defense, then the extra points in the other. So like, Str 4-4-8-5, Sta 4-4-8-8 or vice versa.

I haven't had any aggro issues at all since TSO launch, even against Mythicaled DPSers with no hate boost classes. Granted, I'm one of, if not the best geared Zerker on my server, but speccing the above way should help a lot.

The only hate proccing item I've seen so far is the charm slot item from the end boss of Nu'Roga. It's pretty nice. I'm sure there's plenty of others though.

nuroga - I will have to check out that zone soon.

currently my spec is something like this, or very close...

STR 4-4-8.

STA - 4-6-8-8-1

INT 4-4-6-8-1

down the berserker lines - max out regen stuff, down to perseverance, annd max out CA's down to gut roar.
maxed out war fury and such, with the last 5 in the first AOE... the one that knocks down.

149 AA so far... so only 14 in the TSO stuff.
max health and max pet bonus (STR gives me both alittle ATK and alittle power so I liked it better then +5% power alone, only lose 100 power this way)

you can respec the eof berserk tree and put 32 points in the new shadow tree. the 2 new endabilitys should be a great help for you for sure.

Six points in Reversal is a waste. Reversal accounts for a tiny tiny portion of your DPS. Put those two extra points in Str 4.

The Stamina end line is nice, and I used it all through RoK, but I think those points also, would be better spent in Str 4.

Four points in Str 4 alone should help a lot. If you're still having problems take a few points out of Sta 4 and swap them to Str 4 also.

Getting the first two snap aggro abilities like Sixam said will help too. I'd also recommend maxing out the Rescue reuse AA. With those two new abilities, plus enhanced Rescue and Insolence, even if you lose aggro you'll almost always have it back instantly since one of those abilities is almost always up.

they know that a lesser equipped tank will not be able to hold aggro as well as they need to. that mentality is part of what is fucking up the game, everyone being lazy and just wanting to mash buttons without paying any amount of attention or adjusting the direction they know they need to adjust in.

yes i know this isn't the answer to your question but neither will be a few hate gain % items.

I had the same problem for the first 2 days - then it was pointed out that i could respec into the new AA line NOW. Zerkers are one of the main classes being rebalanced - and SOE love to do it with new AA lines instead of simply fixing what was wrong. Pick up reuse on rescue (5pts), end of fighter mini rescue and the 8sec "lock" from the end of the fighter line. Put 5pts into the "block generates aggro" ability. Mythical Insolence is a bonus...

I took out 2 strength line crit% points, and 3 surplus out of the Int line, then took as many points of the berserker AA tree as possible while leaving the end abilities intact. Make sure you leave 120pts in your first 2 trees. That leaves you an extra 20 to put into shadow. The benefits of doing this FAR outway the loses in dps IMO. As you get new points back, repair your STR tree first, and get 3pts in the +hate part instead of putting back into the INT line. It will be less painful that way when they finally revamp fighters to not depend on dps ;)

Pause between fights for a few and you should have 3 excellent tools to hold aggro that come back quickly. I'd suggest if you still have problems, make sure you bring a troub or dirge

And finally - let the mythical assassin just die on pull. Then drag out the fight *as long as possible*. That will really screw his dps. If he is running ACT he'll soon realise that he will have a world better dps if he actually takes part in the fights...If he doesn't realise, then at least you haven't burnt your "I win" abilities on him

I had that issue with a myth wizzy the other day. He died a couple times and told me to hold agro better and i told him to unequip his myth or shut the fuck up. After that there were no issues (i think he started usin his detaunts cause his parse didnt change much)

As for AA I'd go

STR 4-4-8-5
STA 4-4-8-6-2
INT 4-4-6-8-2

sacrafice some points from the zerker tree to add to your TSO tree.

I know you stated you have your epic but do you have your mythical? The damage to hate and 100% aoe auto atk will help tremendously for agro.
