Default Mitigation Increase

I jost got a new Heroic Steel piece, and noticed that there was a +x Mitigation increase. I tried it out, but I can't find any rule about how much my mit increases with it. Anybody know this?

Why don't you just put it on and see what it affected? Honestly this is a really quick solve it yourself type of thing if you already own the gear.

Yeah, I did, and it does give an increase to my mit, but I wanted to know if there was any calculation to it. I looked if it might be a %, but thats not it.

Its because I have the hate-hardened greaves, with around 700 mit on it, and I was looking at the heroic steel greaves. If I use all 5 of the set, it gives a +5 Mitigation increase. The stats are better on the heroic steel, only the mit is lots lower. So doubting about them, but don't want to waste my void shards on them...

Don't worry about your mitigation really, it's not that important since it's so easy to get to dimishing returns.

doesnt +5 mit, just mean +5% mit?

try that.

mitigation total x 105% = x

then put the armor on, and see if you get X as your new mitigation total.

(also remember - the shoulder pieces have +2 on them as well)

I havent tried this myself, since I dont have enough shards for the pieces I really want. but its easy enough to try.

- if my math is wrong, it wont surprise me, I suck at math.
