Aggro
Hey guys. Quick Question
When yall tank the new instances, like drowned theater and the other zones do you have any issues holding agro?
I did a group in drowned theater with a bunch of guildies, none of which had anything great in regards to buffs.
Group was Zerk (me) defiler, 2x necro, Illusionist and assassin
I did semi all right in offensive stance against the yellow trash in there, but I switched to defensive stance for the namers (the orange guy with the golem helper, and the guy with the orbs on the pillars)
My major issue was me not being able to hit the mobs, I think it was 187 swings against the orange con namer and like 50 somth hits, so of course the assassin stile agro and died, which in turn lost me my hate from him and killed the illusionist.
So on and so forth all through the zone.
Me and the assassin took a look at the act and saw that his min hit was 2200 and mine was 387 on auto attacks.
I have my Mythical and tower of harbinger or whatever .. the tower from sisters in SOH, also have 3 pieces of t2 shard armor and 2 pieces of t1 and fabled shoulder / boots
Name is Egal on Oasis if you want to look him up and see gear.
I am specked like every other zerk out there pretty much *only at 165 AA so my shadows tree is a little weird. But the warrior tree is str sta int ( max crit chance, all the way down on the reversal line and all the way down on int tree. )
So , I guess I'm looking for a few hints on what I need to look into to increase my agro in groups with no real buffs.
I usually roll with a dirge that makes all the difference in the world, but he wanted to play the necro for a while.
So any constructive criticism would be appreciated here.
Do I need + slashing adorns to get my skills up to better hit stuff in defensive stance, or do I need more defensive gear to tank better in offensive stance. Or even waste a whole bunch of aa’s to get the end wisdom thingies. ?

Pull it like a raid mob.
In Offensive Stance
:05 Incoming call, pop Turmoil, Open wounds, bow shot to pull, Click Berserk, Adrenaline, (Juggernaut imo), Insolence, Rescue, CA rotation, TSO Fighter line Rescue thing, CA rotation.
:32 Adrenaline wears off, Defensive Stance if needed, hold on for dear life.
1:00 Mod dies. Give mob's corpse the finger.
1:05 Loot chest.

hate buff or transfer are a luxury i havent afford in a long time when doing heroic content... offensive stance, dual wield, jewel, various offensive gear and you are set.

Ditto.
Basically the only way I've found to hold aggro without a dirge, or at least some kind of hate xfer, is dual wield and full offensive plate gear. Only pop on a shield for the oh-shit moments, but the vast majority of the time it's dual wield city.
If it's a hard zone where I pretty much need a shield full time, I just don't do it without a hate xfer, it's that simple.

Okay, thanx guys, im glad to hear im not doing somth completely wrong that just messes me up
ill try the dualwield a bit i got a nice offhander i use when possible.

Without dirge and warden tanking in Def is pain in the ass, i hope the aggro revamp changes this aspect.
You said you have Tower of Harbringer from sitsers in SoH....
Sisters don't drop shields, but Demetrius Crane drops these 2:

yeah the Barrier, Sorry I am writing this from work, and i suck at names ..
So you guys don't really have any adorns or anything made up to increase slashing? I was considering to re adorn my myth and throw away my current adornment for the +6 slashing, and go hunt for more slashing gear to increase my skill in defensive stance.
i put the damage shield adorns on my shield and shoulders to increase damage, and it seems to help a little.
but when you all do dualwield in all offensive gear, u roll with 2 healers ?

duel weild in tank gear and swap to a sheild when needed. the extra damage from duel weild should be enough.
but yeah, not having a dirge hurts while in D stance.
